Finding A Safe Weight Loss Program

By S. Wagner Let's face it, there are more weight loss programs to choose from both on and off the Internet. Each one comes with its own claims of getting rid of your excess weight quickly. But how many of these programs actually work and the ones that do, how safe are they? Hopefully, the few tips that you'll be reading in this article will guide you to finding a weight loss program that is both safe and effective. The first thing you need to understand is what safe weight loss is. Safe weight loss is composed of three factors; how much weight you lose, how quickly you lose the weight and by what method you use to lose the weight. How much weight you lose should be no more than what brings you down to your "ideal" weight for your height, bone structure and age. How quickly you lose the weight should be no more than 1 to 2 pounds a week. People who lose weight too quickly risk, not only bodily harm, but in most cases they only gain the weight back just as fast. This is why most quick weight loss diets don't work. Finally, there is the method by which you choose to lose the weight. Diet pills are just plain dangerous because of all the side effects and potential health risks. Read my article on diet pills if you want to get all the facts. Now that you understand the basics of what a safe weight loss program is, finding one is simply a matter of studying each program and reading what it has to say. A program that tells you that you can lose 10 pounds in 5 days is not a safe program, period. Forget about whether or not it works. Losing weight that quickly is dangerous. Also, a program that works by having you take some sort of weight loss pill, is also not safe. The basic way to lose weight, in spite of what you have been led to believe, is to simply eat less. Pills are not the answer. Eventually, as you do your research, and weed out the programs that preach practices that I have outlined as being dangerous, you will find a program that makes sense. This is not rocket science. If a program makes claims that sound too good to be true, then most likely they are. Take what you read with a grain of salt. Get the facts. Read what others have said about a particular program. Try to get your hands on unbiased reviews by people who are not trying to sell the program to you. Finding a safe weight loss program is not hard. All you need to do is follow the few tips above and use a little common sense. The Ancient Art of Origami

By Eileen Bergen Origami, the ancient Japanese art of paper folding, might have actually originated in China. Papermaking was developed in China and some of the oldest surviving examples of folding paper models are from there. However, Japan embraced origami and, in most peoples minds, the art is distinctly Japanese. In its traditional form, a square piece of paper is formed into an endless variety of shapes, using a small number of different folds. Cutting and pasting are not part of the traditional practice. Besides China, other countries have also taken up paper folding. In Spain and France, starting in the 16th Century, documents, probably baptismal certificates, were folded into little birds, known as Pajarita in Spain and Cocotte in France. Origami designs can be simple hats or airplanes, or can be complex structures such as animals or buildings, which can take quite a while to fold. Sometimes the more complex shapes are made of foil rather than paper, since the foil can be folded more times, while creating less bulk. Standard origami paper is generally a 6 (15 cm) square. Standard folds are used to create bases, the most common of which are the kite, fish, bird and frog. Once the base is shaped, other folds are added to create almost any shape. One of the most famous Japanese origami shapes is the crane. The Japanese consider the crane auspicious. Legend has it that anyone who folds a thousand paper cranes will have their hearts desire come true. The origami crane has since become a symbol of peace in Japan. In the 1920s and 30s, Joseph Albers began to create spiral and curved shapes in his origami works. Later, Akira Yoshizawa inspired the modern revival of the art using even more intricate designs and introducing new techniques such as wet folding, so the origami paper holds its shape better. To show off the versatility and originality that can be origami, every year for the past 30 years, the American Museum of Natural History in New York has erected a Christmas tree solely decorated with many different origami shapes such as crabs, lobsters, birds, turtles and dinosaurs. Its truly amazing to behold! There are many books on origami available for beginners to those with more skill. One of the best is The Complete Book of Origami: Step-by-Step Instructions in over 1000 Diagrams with 37 Original Models, by Robert Lang. The first part of this book is an excellent introduction into the basic skills needed to do origami. Each model is designed to let you practice one skill several times. This book is a well know source of origami instructions. You can also buy kits complete with illustrated instructions and the materials you need to get started. It is truly amazing what can be created from a simple piece of paper. All but the youngest children can make these miniature works of art. It is a craft worth exploring. By: Eileen Bergen. 3G, 3G +, 4G and Promises of 5G Cell Phone for Trucking

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=L._Winslow]L. Winslow In the Trucking industry we keep hearing promises of the next new technology, which will revolutionize the current, unfortunately we have heard many more promises than realities when it comes to wireless cell phone technology. When the major move came with 3G Wireless we found no service areas, patchy service or blank space along major sections of highway. Sure most of the major freeways had service along most of the route, but not all. Worse some 2-lane highways had nothing anywhere close. Some companies used both the old system, ROAM and the new 3G system in order to try to attempt to get all areas. Many companies we sold a bill of goods and switched only to have found nothing worked well. Feeling burned, it took a while to regain the trust and then the next new thing came with all the public relations, cute sales gal coming to visit and mass media advertising along with the trade journal articles, white paper (brochure-advertisements) and still everyone wondered; is it real this time? Shame on me the first time, next time shame on them. Jim Mele, Editor of Fleet Owner said it best in one of his editorials; EV-DO, EDGE, GPRS, 1XRTT, UMTS, 3G, 4G, CDMA, GSM, iDEN - it's called wireless communications, but sometimes it seems more like a Tower of Babel than a cell tower. Not only is the wireless world in love with acronyms, but it's also blessed and cursed with rapid and relentless development of new technology. It's an exciting environment for those in that industry, but for the rest of us it's a bewildering mix of potential and promises. Indeed that about sums it up however, we can see the progression now and the technology is improving, many in the communication industry believe that as things grow the technology will become more robust, have better coverage, maintain low price-points and remain reliable. The T-5 Group (The Trucking Think Tank Team) is bullish on the future of cell phone technology, although at the same time we realize that some of the fast-paced roll-outs left a lot to be desired and in the interim did not deliver on their promises to the trucking industry. Planning Your Party: How Organization can Prevent Disasters

By Ellen Zucker Most good event planners are a bit on the anal side. That is because "the devil" really is in the details. And if the details are not well managed, it is very easy for all kinds of problems to occur. A good example occurred just this week. I received a call from a client this past Tuesday. She wanted to talk about the party she is scheduled to have for this coming Saturday. She had done all of the right things including planning and booking her vendors well in advance. In fact, she had booked our services back in February. The reason for the call? She received a panicked call from her catering hall. It turns out that they double-booked the time slot for her event. This catering hall is run by a husband-wife team. The wife generally handles reservations. But her husband had taken down a reservation for another event, a wedding reception. He didn't see that the time slot was already reserved for my client's event. The wife discovered the oversight while reviewing arrangements for the weekend. The upshot? My client, who didn't have the heart to displace a wedding celebration, had to reschedule her event on short notice. Needless to say, the oversight caused my client a great deal of inconvenience. For starters, she is expecting out-of-town guests who will have to change their arrangements. The hall is trying to compensate by giving my client its use for free. Nonetheless, damage was done. In this case, there was little the client could have done to prevent this problem. It was caused by conditions out of her knowledge and control. The reality is that people are human and screw-ups happen to the best of us. But you can minimize problems arising from items under your control. The key is organization. If you are planning an event, keep a timeline and keep records. The timeline will give you a way to impose order on the endless details by letting you quickly see what has to take place and when. Records will give you concrete reference so you don't have to rely on memory. Contracts, receipts, papers, and your notes of phone conversations should be kept in a central place such as a folder. A diary system based on your timeline will trigger necessary reviews and action on your part. For example, if you book a vendor's services and they promise to send you a contract, ask when you can expect to receive it. Then, note the date in your diary. Check it off when you receive the paperwork. Failure to recieve the contract or any other promised paperwork should precipitate follow up on your part. Such failures can be caused by any number of things. Papers get lost in the mail, and occasionally vendors don't properly record an order. It is rare, but it happens. Likewise, many providers of party services require the payment of a deposit to secure your order. Many clients shop around, change plans, or fail to commit for any number of reasons. Depending on the specific product or service, some vendors receive orders from a small percentage of their inquiries. So a vendor may not follow up if you do not send in the deposit. And you may find yourself scrambling to obtain that service under a short deadline. This is more likely during peak periods when the vendor's resources are stretched. A diary system will keep you on track and organized. Experiences like my client's are rare. But mistakes do happen. By being organized and on top of your diary system, you'll prevent a lot of problems. And you can be confident that you have the details of your event under control. Depression And Paranoia

By Justin Meyer You know the feeling. You are talking to someone, and then a few minutes later they go into a meeting. The door closes. Are they talking about you? What are they saying? What did you do wrong this time? These are feelings that we all suffer, but it seems even worse when you are depressed. Anxiety is a very real feeling, and if you think that there are problems in your life, that will only make things worse. The way to counter these feelings is to distract yourself during these meetings. Thats the first step, at least. Make sure that if these meetings are going to distract you, that you have some other task, preferably away from the site, so you can deal with this through ignorance. The other thing to do is to start focusing on the positives of your performance. By doing that, instead of looking at the negative side of things that you do, it will allow you to view conversations about you as a positive. It will also leave you worrying less because you will not feel in danger every time people are talking. Finally, if all else fails, address your issues. Dismiss them. Do a quick review of your own and make sure that you tilt the scales to come out positive. At that point, you will start to feel better about the meetings around you. What Are Some Easy Italian Recipes?

By Andrew Krause A lot of the cuisine of Italy can be intimidating, with multiple techniques used to produce a dish, expensive ingredients and complex construction. Many new cooks take a look at some of the more classic "gourmet" Italian recipes and decide such cooking is better left to Olive Garden or Macaroni Grill. This is a mistake, as there are plenty of easy Italian recipes around. In every ethnic cuisine, the basic cooking is simple. Remember that for most of human history, cooking tools were very simple and the availability of complex cooking tools was unknown. There was only heat, a simple pan or two and some basic ingredients. Take, for example, Shrimp Scampi, one of the most popular Italian restaurant dishes. Done right, it is a marvel of balance, with the richness of butter and the taste of garlic, green onions and white wine. Actually, it's a very, very simple dish! You just saut the garlic and onions in olive oil, add the wine, then the butter, then the shrimp. It's not hard at all, and the results are fantastic. Lasagna, believe it or not, is another amazingly simple dish. The layers can look intimidating in the finished product, but it's basically just a matter of making simple meat and cheese mixtures, then ladling them into a dish in layers separated by noodles. The great thing about lasagna is that it's fairly foolproof. Get your layers out of order? Forget to put the cheese in one layer? It really won't matter all that much once everything's baked together. And, for dessert, don't forget the cannoli (hey, it was good enough for "The Godfather," right?) You can buy cannoli shells at most bakeries, which removes what for most people is the tough part. The filling is simply a mixture of cheeses and flavorings which is then piped into the shells and decorated. You won't believe how simple it can be! There are hundreds of easy Italian recipes out there. All you have to do is get cooking. Marriage Musts - Owning Your Problems

By Brandi Simon My husband cheated on me multiple times. It's really easy to bet bogged down in thinking that because of his terrible actions that all the problems in the marriage are his fault. However; when faced with this betrayal it's very important to own your own responsibilities for the problems in the marriage. If you don't then you are destined to fail. I'm going to tell you unequivocally that unless you mend the issues in your marriage your husband is more susceptible to another affair and dare I say it, so are you! Repairing the issues in your marriage, or any relationship for that matter, starts with YOU. You can not control what another person thinks, feels, or does, however; you can control those thoughts, feelings, and actions of your own. You probably will not be able to move past the affair until you begin to resolve your other marital issues. When you finally understand that the issues in your marriage are what caused your spouse to stray you will be able to begin working on fixing the areas in your marriage that need to be repaired. As you repair those areas you will begin to move past the affair because you will have some security in knowing that the areas that made it easy for your spouse to stray are now repaired and those are no longer an issue. Most problem areas will be about one of the basic needs. This is where you should concentrate your efforts. You can do this even without the participation of you wayward spouse. Make a game out of finding out what your spouse's most important needs are and meeting those needs. I'm quite certain that after a couple of weeks of having his needs met that your spouse will notice the difference in you and the changes that you are making. They will become more open to actually working on the marriage with you. It is possible to keep your marriage even with only one person doing the work. What To Say To Meet Women Anywhere!

By Ross Jeffries You see, knowing what to SAY to a woman is utterly and totally dependent on WHAT YOU CAN OBSERVE ABOUT THAT WOMAN. It's not so much a matter of what to say. No, the real secret of "opening" women is, knowing what to observe, knowing what to notice, and even KNOWING WHAT TO GET CURIOUS ABOUT. Does that make sense? Also, the approach to opening her might differ a bit if she is at a coffee house, quietly studying, as opposed to in a loud restaurant or party, right? Why? Because the CONTEXT she is in and what you NOTICE about her is going to be different. If she's studying, and you notice that she's having a hard time; thinking really hard, talking to herself outloud or just thinking "OUTLOUD" in her head, it would NOT make sense to walkup and ask her opinion about the great band that is playing or where she bought her cool bicycle. So, I will say it again. The most important thing, first and foremost, is NOT what you say, but the context she is in, and what you can observe about her and the setting she is in. Now, many guys ask me about compliments. Should I give them?Is it a good way to first "open up" talking to a woman? If so,what should I compliment? Ok. I'll repeat: it depends on the context, where she is,what she is doing, and what you NOTICE and can OBSERVE. Look: whether it is opening her by using a compliment, or asking her a question about something, or making a comment about something she's doing or something going on in the environment,I will ask myself the same question, "What can I notice about this person that I can use to make a connection?" Now, let's say I notice something about her that I DO find worth complimenting. My rules for complimenting are as follows: 1. NO sexual content in the compliments. That means I don't compliment on her great boobs, great legs, great butt, etc. No woman (no half-way SANE woman) wants a drooling lecher. 2. All compliments to be delivered with good eye contact (infact, ANY openers are delivered this way) with a smile on my face AND in my eyes ( I sort of make them twinkle a bit) and deliverd with a MATTER of fact voice tone. This means I don't over do it with my tone of voice. The compliment is delivered, matter of fact, with no concern on my part whether she will accept it, reject it or anything in between. It is NOT about her accepting or rejecting what I say. It is ONLY about me wanting to say what I have to say, and any response she has is OK WITH ME. Really, this is about the sub-text. This means, you see, that there is the surface message, the actual words I say. Those can be important. But the sub-text is the unspoken or implied message I am delivering about me and how I walk through the world; that take full responsibility for how I feel about myself, my situation, the events and circumstances in my life, and I don't need anyone to approve or validate my message. Now, trust me. When you come from THAT place, and add in a touch of humor.... Almost Anything You Say Will Get A Good Response! Notice something else. This is a great but different KIND of confidence. It's not the kind of confidence that say, loudly, "I KNOW I AM GOING TO GET WHAT I WANT". It's more of a, "If I get what I want, that's fine and good, and if not, that's ok too. I'm having fun regardless". Ok. Back to compliments then. I prefer to compliment women on the following things: 1. How they carry themselves or how they move. I enjoy awoman who moves beautifully and/or who has great posture. I will tell them so, as follows, "I just wanted to tell....I think you have perfect.......posture. You just carry yourself beautifully." Notice the ....... This indicates a pause in your speaking. I don't run everythingtogetherintoonesentencelikethis. No. I take....my....time. I pause, right before I tell them what I am going to tell them, so they will get curious about what I am going to say, and therefore be more receptive. The pauses in the music are as much a part of the music as the notes, to use a metaphor. 2. How they are dressed. I like to compliment on style. So I will say, "I just wanted to tell you...I admire women with class and style...so I had to say "hi". I'm YOUR NAME HERE." Note that this is what I call an IMPLIED compliment. I didn't' directly tell her I think SHE has class and style. I said I admire women with class and style, so I had to say "hi".That IMPLIES that I think she has class and style. Why is this important? Well, by implying the compliment, she has to use her imagination to interpret what you meant. Imagination is an ACTIVE process, and so she doesn't resist the message, as she herself has to take an active hand in creating it! Implied compliments are very useful in slipping past any resistance or skepticism to your message! 3. I will compliment on their "energy". I know this is a New Age, California kind of thing, but women are into "energy" or "vibes". It doesn't matter if you believe in it or not-although I hope one day you will. The important thing is, MOST women believe in it. So if I notice a woman has a calm, radiant, happy demeanor, I will say, "I just wanted to tell you.....I think you have..a beautiful....energy about you, and it just made me have to say "hi". I'm YOUR NAME HERE". Ok. Another major way to meet women is to say something funny; make an observation or comment that is humorous, based on something you can observe. Now, again, I can't give you a "one line fits all" example, because again, it's based on what you are observing in the actual situation. So you will have to observe her, asking, "What can I notice that I can use to make a connection?". Next, ask yourself, "How can I phrase that in a clever, funny way that gets attention and makes her laugh?" This takes some practice. But you can get good at it. Now, again, I hesitate to give word for word examples, because it depends on what you observe. Here Are Some Approaches I Do NOT Recommend: 1. Asking her the time, or for directions. It's trite, lame, and then where do you go from there? If you are terribly shy and can't even talk to women, ok, you can start here. But learn to do something else quickly. 2. Being insulting or in any way rude. I don't care what you might have heard. Insulting a woman is stupid. Any woman with choice is just going to move on. If she's kind, she won't insult you back. If she isn't, she just might give a verbal tongue lashing, and that's not the kind of tongue action you want! 3. Invading her space when I meet her. Once I make my initial opening, tell her my name, shake her hand; I then actually take a step back, away from her, to give her back her space. Women tell me that, to them, it demonstrates respect. It also indicates that, while I am strong enough to come up and meet them, I am also concerned with their safety, and they like that combination. And finally, it indicates a challenge: just because she gave me a good initial response to my opener, doesn't mean she has me! It establishes a challenge, right away. http://speedseductions.blogspot.com/ Peace and piece, Ross Jeffries Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Ross_Jeffries http://EzineArticles.com/?What-To-Say-To-Meet-Women-Anywhere!&id=538621 bad credit motorclcye loan

Anniversary Gifts - Thirty-Eighth Anniversary

By Michael Russell Whoever came up with the anniversary gift ideas for this anniversary must have been either tortured by his wife or held captive by men from Mars for six months with nothing but a burnt out TV and a half empty bag of Lays potato chips to keep them company. If you thought by now things would get easy when it came to finding an anniversary gift, especially for one so late in your life, you obviously have been living on a different planet than the one most of civilization here occupies. But don't worry. In spite of the obstacles ahead, we're going to give you at least a few ideas for this special occasion. If you're wondering why this year is going to be such a challenge, that's because the anniversary gifts for this year are beryl and tourmaline. If you're sitting there scratching your head wondering what these things are, let alone what could possibly be made out of them, let's consult with our trusty friend, the dictionary. Beryl, according to the dictionary, is "a mineral, beryllium aluminum silicate, Be3Al2Si6O18, usually green, but also blue, rose, white and golden and both opaque and transparent, the latter variety including the gems emerald and aquamarine: the principal ore of beryllium". Oh, okay. It's a rock. A very expensive one if the name emerald means what I think it means. Now, let's look at tourmaline. According to the dictionary, tourmaline is "A complex crystalline silicate containing aluminum, boron and other elements, used in electronic instrumentation and, especially in its green, clear and blue varieties, as a gemstone". Great, we have a couple of very expensive rocks we can get for this year's festivities. The question that remains is simply, what is made out of this stuff? For the answer to that, you can go to a jeweler who will probably give you a lot of double talk, or you can just keep reading. Beryl gemstones are actually not all that hard to find. The most popular of these is most likely morganite, which has kind of a pink color to it. If you spot one of these gems, no pun intended, you can't miss 'em. They are absolutely breathtaking and look every bit as expensive as they are. You can get just about anything made from beryl, including rings, earrings, bracelets, necklaces and pendants. The prices, depending on the size of the stone, range anywhere from under $100 (you need a magnifying glass to see it) to thousands of dollars (requiring a truck and an armed guard to bring it home). If you're expecting tourmaline to be any cheaper, you have a long wait. Tourmaline is also available in the usual forms and the price range is also about the same. The best advice I can give is this. You don't want to buy a gift where you end up having to mortgage your home. But after all, this is your thirty-eighth anniversary and your spouse deserves an anniversary gift for all the years that he or she has put into this marriage. Well, don't worry about going wrong with anything here. Gems are called gems for a reason. And after all, it's only money. Michael Russell

Depression

By David McEvoy Depression is a broad term commonly used to describe a set of symptoms that can range from mild, requiring little or no treatment, to symptoms severe enough to interfere with a person's life on a daily basis and sometimes to the extent that life in itself can become intolerable. According to the Office for National Statistics Psychiatric Morbidity Report 2001, a quarter of all adults living in the UK will experience some kind of mental health problem during the course of any one year. Depression is a mental health problem that can affect any one of us at any time of our lives. It is indiscriminate of age, gender, culture and background. The Patient UK website states that 2 out of 3 adults will experience an episode of depression at some point and the Mental Health Foundation quote that that 10% of children up to the age of 15 have a mental health disorder. So how do we know if we are suffering from depression? Milder symptoms of depression include short bouts of low moods, lethargy, sadness and feeling a bit fed up and out of sorts, and these will often disappear after a few days or so. However, clinical depression is more serious in that it isn't possible to just "snap out of it" and symptoms can persist for weeks, months and even years without proper help. Some symptoms of depression Feeling tired and lethargic for most of the time
Persistent low moods and sadness, a feeling of despondency
Sleep disturbances, either inability to sleep or sleeping too much
A pessimistic outlook on life
Feeling anxious and nervous
Feelings of worthlessness or guilt
Frightening and irrational thoughts
Loss of pleasure in activities and lack of interest in sex
Avoidance of social contact and social situations
Loss of appetite or an increased appetite and associated weight loss or weight gain
Emotional outbursts for no apparent reason
Irritability Each and every one of us can experience one or more of these symptoms at times without being depressed, however, if symptoms persist for more than a couple of weeks or they interrupt your ability to function on a daily basis then the chances are you might be suffering from depression. Who suffers from depression? Life changing events can sometimes precipitate a period of depression including having a baby, death of a loved one, the breakdown of a relationship, money worries and debt, problems at work, physical illness and disability. Some groups of people are more at risk of a depressive illness than others and these include the long term sick and unemployed, the homeless, single parents, those who are in care or institutions, those with a past history of depressive illnesses themselves or in their family, and those battling with alcohol or substance abuse problems. Chemical imbalances, genetics and physiological factors can play a role in some types of depressive disorders. Seasonal changes involving the long dark winter days and nights can bring on an episode of depression, and for others; there is no apparent or identifiable reason at all. According to research statistics, women are more likely than men to seek help for a mental health problem or depression however, men are more likely to commit suicide as a result of being depressed. Common types of depression Clinical Depression can be described as a depression that is severe enough to require the help and intervention of a health care professional. It is sometimes referred to as unipolar depression. Bi-polar or manic depression manifests itself in extreme mood swings alternating between episodes of intense euphoria and despair with relatively stable periods in between. The duration of the episodes and the gaps between them vary from person to person. During a high or manic period, the bipolar sufferer can feel euphoric, is excitable, needs little sleep and can be highly creative. The lows on the other hand can be devastatingly difficult with a loss of interest in everything, feelings of despair, guilt and worthlessness and even suicidal tendencies. According to the Royal College of Psychiatrists leaflet on depression, 1 in 10 people suffer from Bipolar. Post Natal Depression can occur after giving birth. The symptoms are similar to those of common depression and can range from a very mild and normal period of "baby blues" lasting a few days to a severe type of depression that requires clinical intervention. Seasonal Affective Disorder or SAD is a type of depression occurring during the winter months, and is thought to be linked to a lack of sunlight so in addition to the usual treatment for depression, light-therapy can be helpful. It is not known why some people suffer from depression and not others and although some people appear more prone to episodes of depression, there is no one cause of depression and many variations in the way a depressive disorder can presents itself. The severity of the symptoms and the impact that depression can have on an individual's life varies from person to person but with a proper diagnosis, the appropriate help can be made available. Depression is treatable. Depression is a serious condition that can strike anyone at anytime. Building A Winter Greenhouse

By Amanda Bregman If your passion for gardening eats most of your available time, then it is advisable that you set up a greenhouse which will keep all of your treasured possessions. The months of the winter time is mostly the hate season of a gardener like you. It is during these winter months when the flowers that you've painstakingly grown will be covered with ice and will be set to death by the cold breeze. You feel really flabbergasted by such scenario. However, building a greenhouse will give you peace of mind. If your garden space is mostly bare to the top, your most perfect resort is the setting up of a greenhouse. A winter greenhouse will be your solitude in times like these. Now with a greenhouse, it is as if you are enjoying a long duration of springtime. People who've got the deep passion for gardening treats the activity as some sort of finding tranquility during the very turbulent moments of their lives. The greenhouse seems to shun away the worries from them. You may have the same feeling of course. Building a greenhouse in your backyard means setting up a comfortable place that will shield you and your beloved plants from the harsh and cold winter months. Any moment that you step into your haven, you will feel rejuvenated as if you are transcended into a realm filled with serenity and pleasure. Mind you, the scent of fresh flowers can do this for you. The Selection to be Made If you are thinking of creating the greenhouse in your backyard space, you've got a lot of options to look into. There are endless choices that will face you. A small yet cozy winter greenhouse may occupy a space that is supplied with the most favorable sunlight. You can design the size and shape of your winter greenhouse as well. But if you think that your winter greenhouse will only be called for to serve its purpose on these said months, then you might as well settle for a portable greenhouse. This can thus be set up only on the winter months and kept right after another season comes in. The Use of the Greenhouse In a greenhouse, almost any plant can be grown provided that the plants are accustomed to the climate in your place. Gardeners like you may prefer to grow about a large number of fruits, flowers, and vegetables. It is really dependent on your own choice. You may opt to move these plants outside when the weather becomes warm enough. This motion may invite the agents of pollination. But during winter, you may use the artificial pollinations. Winter greenhouse needs particular attention especially in the areas of controlling the humidity, heat, light, diseases, and pests inside the place. The Material to Employ The greenhouse plastic films are usually used by many because the design of these materials is able to withstand the harsh penetration of the ultraviolet rays from the sun, the wind, and the chilly temperature of the winter months. The most commonly utilized plastic film is the six millimeter four year film which serves its purpose well since it is thick, quite heavy, and may last up to four years or more. There is also another type the "over wintering" plastic film which is best to use during winter. As you see, gardening can be a lot of fun if you only know the precautions that you must take. Winter greenhouse can save you from a lot of troubles. Just be sure that you employ the proper materials and steps in nurturing your plants. Shake It Up

By D. Marie Giolitto Here's a healthful breakfast idea for busy, workaholic types: the fruit and yogurt smoothie. It's the ideal breakfast for people like you and me who don't have time for elaborate morning rituals. Not only is a yogurt fruit shake delicious and nutritious, but it affords maximum convenience and diet control! Reasons Why Breakfast Shakes Rock You decide what goes in. Allergic to bananas? Try peaches in your smoothie instead. Dont like nuts? Leave them out. Its totally up to you, what you add to your smoothie each morning. Mix up a Berry Blast one day and Very Vanilla the next. Smoothies are totally versatile and delicious! Theyre so easy to make. It doesnt take a culinary master to throw a little of this or that in a blender with ice, give it a whirl on high speed and pour into your receptacle of choice. Stock up each week with a smorgasbord of smoothie ingredients and mix and match each day. Its a meal in a glass. What could be better than a breakfast thats both nutritionally-optimized and can be ingested without chewing? This is the perfect food as far as I can see. Slurp one down just before that big meeting! Drink your meal while sitting in traffic. Brilliant! Smoothies are easily transportable. Take one to work, carry one along in your gym backpack... your smoothie can go wherever you go, in a handy plastic container with a snap-on lid. Keep it cool in your take-along cold pack and enjoy a refreshing thirst quencher and energy booster any time of day. Make it the night before. If youve got a full day scheduled, blend up your smoothie the night before, store it away in the fridge, and then in the morning you can just grab and go. Smoothies are for stress-free living! Smoothie Ingredients: the Perfect Blend When it comes to ingredients, there's really no set recipe to follow. It's your smoothie and you can make it however you like. Following is a list of foods that you may or may not include when dreaming up your own unique smoothie creation. 1. Yogurt. Just the right consistency to add body and texture to your shake. The tart flavor of yogurt contrasts nicely with fruit and natural sweeteners. A good source of protein for brain power, plus calcium to keep bones and teeth healthy. Active acidophilus cultures in yogurt help to maintain the bacterial balance of the stomach and intestinal tract. 2. Soymilk. The benefits of soy protein are vast! Used to curb hormone fluctuations in menopausal women, soymilk contains natural estrogenic plant derivatives that can reduce your risk of cancer. Calcium and B-vitamin rich soymilk also makes for healthier bones and improved nervous system function. Pour some into your morning smoothie as a healthy alternative to cow's milk. 3. Whole, rolled oats. Add fiber plus heart protection to your diet. Whole oats are packed with B vitamins and notorious for keeping cholesterol down. Remove artery sludge and reduce the risk of heart attack with a half-cup of oats a day. Cleverly hidden in your tasty breakfast shake, you barely even notice they're there. 4. Nuts or seeds. A source of protein and Omega-3 fatty acids needed for glandular and cellular function, nuts and seeds are another ingredient you can toss in by the handful and get instant health benefits. Try any combination of peanuts, walnuts, filberts, pecans, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds or milled flaxseeds for added fiber plus a bold, nutty flavor. 5. Fresh fruit. Start your day right with a little jolt of seratonin from natural fruit sugar. Blueberries are known for their anti-carcinogenic properties. Or, try any of the other vitamin-packed berry varieties such as strawberries, raspberries or blackberries. Bananas, peaches and pineapples make great shake flavors as well. 6. Raw honey. Just a touch of honey in your smoothie adds that sweetness to counter the taste of nuts and oats. Known for its amazing healing properties, honey is the healthy man's sugar and makes for excellent flavor in your morning protein drink. Instead of skipping breakfast tomorrow like you usually do, why not shake things up with a fantastic breakfast shake that takes less than ten minutes to make! Itll go down smooth and easy, and set the tone for an energy-filled and productive day. Copyright 2005 Dina Giolitto. All rights reserved. Liked this article? Weight Loss with Phentermine

By David Turner Losing weight is hard but living with weight is even harder My friend john is an outstanding mimic but is embarrassed to expose his talent because he is overweight. Millions of people around the world are addicted to obesity; the worst part is that children and adolescents are also under its grasp. Reluctance towards fitness and fast life style is a vital factor for weight gain. Such fast life provokes dependency on junk food so much so that we have forgotten the importance of fresh food; in fact nutritious diet has become a matter of opportunity. Whats going wrong? What is the reason for such rise in obesity in the recent years? We eat half the amount of food that people in early 50s used to eat but we surpass them drastically when it comes to weight gain. The answer is straightforward During the past few decades, there has been a phenomenal change in our lifestyle; to be precise we live in a remote control world where the importance of physical effort has literally vanished. Nowadays we spend more time in front of computers, we use cars where before we used our feet or bicycles, and we use lifts and escalators instead of stairs. We have become less active. So, although we consume fewer calories now than a few years ago, we also burn up far fewer calories than before. Weight gain is the difference between the calories we consume and the calories we lose. Or, put more simply, food versus exercise. Yes, we may not seem to eat very much, but if we are couch potatoes we still end up piling on the weight.
A blessing called Phentermine: Phentermine is a boon for people seeking fast weight loss; it works by stimulating the hypothalamus gland and affecting certain neurotransmitters to decrease appetite. The hypothalamus is the region of the brain that controls the autonomic nervous system, regulating sleep cycles, body temperature, appetite, etc. Phentermine is available in tablets, capsule and resin capsules. Phentermine is an appetite suppressant; it should be taken empty stomach, once daily, before breakfast. Taking Phentermine late in the day can disrupt your sleeping hours. Phentermine Doses:
Oral dosage form (Capsules) - 15 to 37.5 mg once per day before breakfast or 1-2 hours after breakfast.
Oral dosage form (Tablets) - 15 to 37.5 mg once per day before breakfast or 1-2 hours after breakfast. Instead of taking it once a day, your doctor may tell you to take 15 to 37.5 mg in divided doses one-half hour before meals.
Oral resin dosage form (Capsules) - 15 to 30 mg once per day before breakfast Phentermine side effects :
Prescription drug like Phentermine can lead to unwanted side effects such as chest pain, swelling of legs, trouble in breathing and exercise and fainting. Some other familiar adverse effects of Phentermine include Depression Drowsiness, Increased blood pressure, Irritability, Nervousness, Sense of well-being, Tiredness, Blurred vision, Change in sexual desire, Clumsiness, Confusion, Diarrhea, and Dizziness. , Dry mouth, Headache, Irregular heartbeat, Nausea or vomiting, Psychosis, Skin rash or itching, Stomach pain, Tiredness and Unpleasant taste. Warning: People above 60 should consult their doctor before opting Phentermine; it is strictly banned for people below 16 years of age Keep the medicine away from children. A Tale of Two Cheesecakes: Mass Markets vs Niche Markets

By David McKee I love cheesecake. My wife makes the fluffiest, creamiest, most delectable cheesecake I have ever tasted, slightly browned at the edges, delicious light yellow, dripping with cherries or blueberries. There is no store-bought cheesecake that can hold a candle to it. Yet companies like "The Cheesecake Factory" or "Junior's Cheesecakes" make literal fortunes selling cheesecakes at $50.00 apiece not including the shipping! Those store-bought or Internet bought cheesecakes are good, but my wife can makes them so much better. And this got me to thinking: Cheesecakes mass produced under the most ideal conditions are still inferior to those made with love by wives and grandmothers everywhere. What does this mean for the Internet marketer? It means a lot, because it points to new niche markets. Can you get several grandmothers to produce a few cheesecakes each? You pay them 15 dollars for every one they produce. They win because they produce as much as they want, and in some cases that may be something that gives them a new purpose! There are so many widows and others who, having retired and having families that have moved away, have time. Some may need a few extra dollars too. You have your own product resource here, a freelance cheesecake factory if you will. And don't stop there, what else can be produced in this way? Knitting? Gifts? Crafts? Cookies? Fried Chicken? You can sell these obviously superior products online and ship them anywhere in the country, and if you use Ebay as an example, you can do it without even having to set up your own web-presence, just create an Ebay store! You see older retired people may not want to bother with running their own business, but they may want to feel useful and to get a few dollars for it as well makes it even sweeter. Why not? Everyone wins: The customer gets a superior product, the retired person gets worth and dollars, and you make money with your on-line business. By the way, Colonel Sanders started KFC when he was over 60! He "invented" something called "home meal replacement" selling complete meals to busy, time-strapped families and called it "Sunday Dinner, Seven Days a Week." Could you have some grandparents or others create complete meals, store them with dry-ice and ship them using the Internet? And no matter what the Mass producers say, properly positioned and skilful marketing will pit them against "Grandma"! Not an enviable position for them, but a great place for the savvy marketer. Niches are funny things... They typically exist right in front of you unrecognized by almost everyone, but one thing I have noticed, they always seem to exist close to un-used resources. This is a case where there is unused wisdom and experience, in our elderly population and amongst those who have skills and abilities but perhaps not the time or energy for full-time employment. If you can use Internet technology to leverage these resources, you can create wealth where nobody ever thought to look for it. David McKee is a freelance copywriter and a Software engineer.

Honesty Accepted - Deception Denied

By Linda Reeves We've all done it at one time or another, or will do it sometime in the future. Regardless of when you do it, just remember you will get caught eventually and when you do, you cannot bury your head in the sand. Too bad there are not strict policies, punishable by law in association with the internet wherein something could be written and implemented along the lines of "Truth in Online Dating". Who am I kidding, people have lied from the beginning of time and will continue to do so until Hell freezes over and even when caught some will continue to do so at our expense. Bastards!
Remember the old video rental mantra "Be Kind, Rewind"? Some of you may be too young to remember that but the sentiment still applies. For this subject, lets use, oh I don't know, how about "You Lie, You Die", hmmmmm, maybe not, too blatant. Oh wait, I know, "Honesty Accepted, Deception Denied". Anyway, the point here is to be honest in all you say and do. Have you ever stretched the truth or told an out and out blatant lie? Tell me how many more lies did you have to tell to cover your ass from the original lie? Life is too short to waste all your time and energy covering your ass. Do it right and do it honestly the first time. So, you are asking yourself, what is this crazy woman's point? OK, OK, the point is, when you are creating a profile, be it just for your screen name or for an "Online Dating Site" be honest. Describe yourself as you see yourself, if you are 5'5" don't list that you are 5'10", if you weigh 210 don't list your weight as 135. Be real, have you ever spent endless hours talking to someone and envisioned what they looked like based on the picture and physical description posted on their profile only to find the picture is 10 yrs old, they have gained 50 pounds and are 6 inches shorter than what they indicated. It has happend to me, and I was pissed, aggravated and disappointed. And, yes, I have done it myself and when it came time to meet the person I felt really bad about the lies I had told and fessed up. We met anyway and in this instance we became very good friends, but, it doesn't always work out that way. If you are going to share personal information, be very cautious, be generic, but honest. If you plan on meeting this person and who knows, maybe start a relationship, don't sabotage it with lies. A good relationship, romantic or friendship is based on trust and honesty. Start off on the right foot, and maintain a certain mystery about yourself to pique their interest, remember any embellishments will be exposed, relationships destroyed and in most cases the trust is gone forever. Simple advice......tell the truth no matter how bad it sounds, your honesty will be welcomed and very much appreciated not to mention the open doors that result from that same honesty. Honesty is sexy and appealing and lies, well, they are boring, unattractive and get you nowhere, but caught! Those of you that are lying to someone right now, come clean, spill the beans, maybe you can be forgiven, maybe not, but you can start fresh from here.....the point of honesty and truth in Online Dating and every aspect of your life. It is much less complicated to tell the truth than it is to cover a lie. Linda Reeves is a 47 year old columnist for Cupids Blackbook, she lives in the American Midwest. Collecting Antique Glass and Porcelain Insulators

By Glyn Farber Looking for something interesting, beautiful and low cost to collect, then try antique insulators. Insulators have been used ever since Samuel Morse transmitted the first telegraph message over a short telegraph line along a railroad between Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, MD in 1844. Glass insulators were first manufactured in the 1850s for use with telegraph lines that were rapidly expanding across America. In the 1920s electricity and telephone signals moved over open copper wire. At each pole glass insulators were used starting this popular hobby of insulator collecting. Insulators come in many sizes, shapes and colors. They were made of many different types materials including rubber, porcelain, pottery, glass, composition, fiberglass, metal, wood and mica. Glass and porcelain insulators are extensively collected by manufacturer and color. Glass insulators are usually found marked with a manufacturer or users name embossed on the insulator such as Hemingray No.9. made by the Hemingray Glass Company that was located in Muncie, Indiana. The American Telephone and Telegraph Co. embossed their insulators with AM TEL & TEL Co. Most insulators were marked on their crown or skirt. Armstrong's, Brookfield, California, Diamond, Dominion, Hemingray, Kerr, Lynchburg, Maydwell, NEGM and Whitall Tatum are some of the more common names found on glass insulators. There are a wide variety of insulators made of porcelain, ceramic, stoneware and other related materials. Collectors primarily focus on pin-types and insulators used on early radio receiver antennas. Manufacturer names to look for are Cook, Jobson Bros., Johns-Manville, Fred M Locke, New Westminster and Varley. You can determine the age of an antique insulator by looking for any marking stamped or embossed on its surface. Sometimes the approximate age can be determined by a patent date on the insulator. The last glass insulator manufacturer in the United States was Kerr, located in Millville, NJ. Kerr stopped producing insulators in 1979. Value is determined by many factors such as condition, manufacturer, quantity made, color, age and demand by collectors. The best place to buy antique insulators is eBay. Glyn Farber has published a catalog of all known Hickey Brother Cigar Store Tokens and co-authored a book about Louisiana Trade Tokens. In addition he wrote several articles for The Token and Medal Society (TAMS) and The National Token Collectors Association (NTCA). Overcoming Inertia in Job Change

By Peter Fisher If you can hold on to an optimistic belief in the possibility of success, you have a very powerful motivator of change. But not everyone can, or will need help to do that as some are naturally more optimistic than others.
It can be especially difficult to be optimistic if you are feeling a little hurt or bruised following redundancy, but even when you know you need the change it can be difficult to get going. Just take a look at the stages: Stages of Change 1) Thinking About Thinking About It 2) Thinking About It 3) Preparing For It 4) Acting Upon It 5) Maintaining It 1) Thinking About Thinking About It You do not really want to consider a new job at all and you will actively resist if you feel pressured or coerced into changing.
You perhaps know you should be looking but you arent really committed to job hunting.
You may be giving it some half-hearted thought because of pressure from others you really ought to get another job but you do not want to take it any further. Im not going to bother with job hunting. Ive got my redundancy money now, so Ive no real need to work. This response is OK if youve got enough money for the rest of your life or until your pension kicks in. 2) Thinking About It
You do see a need for change and you may be considering making a change sometime or perhaps when youre quite ready. Which isnt yet?
You are starting to contemplate and weigh the pros and cons of change.
I suppose I should look for a job, I could get bored doing nothing
I need some mental stimulation to keep the old grey cells working
If someone offered me a job Id consider it. I just cant face the thought of job-hunting 3) Preparing For It
Youve made a preliminary decision and youre preparing to make a change and look for the new job.
This stage involves both the psychological intention to change and the initial practical steps towards the change.
You now need to develop and enhance your plan and consider the consequences. 4) Acting upon It
You now start taking concrete behavioural steps, seeking information and following advice on practical strategies and activities.
You are now actively job-hunting. You are thinking about your skills and experience as well as getting your CV up to date. You start a file to chart your applications and other activities. 5) Maintaining It
You have started your job search process and are now making efforts to maintain the momentum of your campaign. You are applying for jobs, networking with contacts and attending interviews.
You soon recognise that it can be disheartening and that your confidence can waver after the initial enthusiasm. Try not to lose heart, a lack of early success can lead to a loss of motivation; but persistence, patience and perseverance will always pay off with the result you want. Summary
Motivation is necessary for successful job hunting.
No-one but you is going to make you job hunt, and no-one but you can make it successful. However if you use good advice carefully, you will get the result you need. With over 25 years running businesses; and as a Career Coach, Peter Fisher is well placed to guide job seekers through the steps needed in order to achieve that all important new position. He has personally coached thousands of individuals to career success. His distillation of these years of experience with all the essential facts and actions you must complete in order to achieve your own success is outstanding. He is very clear that you shouldnt be misled into thinking of acing interviews or finessing your way into a business; the most sustainable and fulfilling roles are gained through understanding your own specific needs and creating your strategy accordingly. The Whys and Habits of Anxiety & Panic Disorder

By Joanne King Just about everyone asks themselves why? Why did I get this? And chances are, you probably already have a fair idea of what possibly triggered it. I know for myself, I had a medical condition that played a huge factor into my trigger. I was obsessed with my health. I believe it was the ultimate root cause that triggered it off. But I also know it wasnt the only contributing factor. Looking back at it, I was in a high profile job where I was working 12 to 16 sometimes even 18+ hours in a day. I didnt get a lunch break (managers were not permitted to have lunch breaks in my industry). Plus I was living with my in-laws. I know they always meant well, but there was definitely a huge stress factor that came with living with the in-laws. I felt restricted, like I couldnt relax and just be myself. Between work and home, I felt stressed majority of the time. So if you REALLY feel you NEED to know why this has triggered in you, chances are you dont have to look hard. Look at the stresses in your life when it all began. Maybe you had a traumatic experience when you were younger and something re-triggered those memories for you? Maybe it was a divorce? Or a death in your family? Over-worked? Maybe you had money problems? The list could go on and on Stress WILL cause unpleasant tension and sensations in your body. It can mirror other medical problems. Anxiety and Panic Disorder was born when you concentrated on all these sensations. It became a habit (an unhealthy one at that). But because it is a habit, a habit that you created, you have the ability to take it back. We all have habits/rituals. Some good, some bad. You can ultimately decide which ones you want to keep. What do you do before you go to bed each night? I bet you lock all your doors and switch all the lights off yes? Thats a habit. A healthy one you should keep. It keeps the thieves out and saves money on your electricity bill. Anxiety and Panic makes you feel bloody awful. It has no good side effects. It restricts you from leading your normal day in and day out life (or at least makes it more difficult then need be). So kick this habit, starting now! You can and will eliminate it if you choose to take action and correct it. Joanne King - http://www.anxiety-panic-free.com Free sign up of our newsletter! Want a Good Money Management Strategy? Buy a Used Car

By Paul Tobey My father is a fairly well-to-do businessman. As a kid growing up, I never understood why Dad never bought a new car. He always came home with a used car and I thought it was because we were poor. As an adult, I now understand that buying a used car was part of Dads overall wealth planning strategy. Did it work? Well, hes retired comfortably, wealthy, and still driving used cars. Now, as a kid, I had no idea what depreciation meant. Now that Im older and wiser I realize that once you drive your new car off the lot, the value drops dramatically. Generally speaking, a new car can lose 30% of its value in the first two years of ownership. To my Dad, this was clearly a waste of money. So, why not buy gently used, and let someone else swallow the 30% loss? Dad had a theory about good money making habits; pay cash for things that depreciate and use credit for things that appreciate. A car depreciates so if you can, pay cash. Things like real estate, antiquities, art and investments appreciate so, for these things its OK to borrow money. I have yet to own a new car. Id like to someday but invariably, I inherited my Dads logic on money management. So recently I paid cash for my gently used Cadillac. It may not have had that new car smell but, it felt new, it had low mileage, a great history, and I fell in love with the experience of driving a Cadillac. And, because Im self-employed, the car and all the expenses are a tax write off. Should I ever get land on hard times, I dont have to worry about the vehicle as a burden. Its an asset that I can sell at any time. Before you buy new or used, have a look at the financing options available to you and decide which option makes more money making sense to your current situation. Whether you are paying cash, leasing or financing, you really need to research how a new or used purchase helps your overall money management strategy. For example; for people with a poor credit history due to divorce, bankruptcy, a business failure etc, a car loan may actually help you repair your damaged credit. I makes both short term and long term sense to work with a reputable used car dealership that can help you achieve your credit repair goals. A good cash down payment will help keep those monthly payments lower, and a small manageable monthly payment plan will go a long way to helping rebuild your credit. So, if you are buying a used car, here my ten top tips to consider before you go shopping: 1. Have clarity on what you can afford. Know your budget! 2. Should you need financing, make certain you know what you are cleared for before you go shopping! 3. Save up your money for the deposit and have the deposit ready in case you find what you are looking for! 4. If you know the make and model you want, call your insurance company ahead of time to get a quote to make certain this is in line with your monthly budget. For example: 2 door cars are often considered sports cars by insurance companies, and may be much more expensive to insure over a 4 door family vehicle. 5. Make sure you buy from a reputable dealer 6. As a rule of thumb, look for cars with low mileage. I recommend under 60 thousand km. 7. Test Drive your car to make certain you love it! Check everything: body condition (check for rust), high speeds, low speeds, wiper, radio, air conditioner, heater, reverse, engine, sunroof etc. Make certain it has all the likings you want! 8. Once you found the car you love, get the vehicle checked out by a reputable mechanic. Make certain they check for rust, evidence of accidents, or any major parts that could result in being a potentially expensive problem such as engine, suspension, steering, brakes, tires, etc. Ask about the vehicle history and warranties. 9. Be knowledgeable about the price. Research the price on the web or via other dealers to make certain you are getting a fair price. 10. Finally, make sure you negotiate. It never hurts to try and negotiate even if youre not any good at it. Chances are youll get a deal just for asking. 5 Ways to Turn Window Shoppers Into Paying Customers

By Michael P Brown 1.) Make them an offer they can't refuse: Give away a Free gift. Like a free ebook. A free consultation. A free gift certificate. A free dinner. A free resource. Free information that is valuable. In fact, information is one of the most valuable things you can give to someone for Free. And the best part about giving away free information is that it usually doesn't cost you anything to give it away. Bottom line is this. If you're going to make an offer they can't refuse then make sure its worth it. Make sure its something your target customer wants. If it's something they want then you will likely be turning another window shopper into a paying customer. 2.) Make your offer for a limited time: A limited time offer creates a sense of urgency in your targeted customer. You want to make them feel like they have to get it now, or they won't get it later. It also makes your offer seem more important. Also, the more specific you are about exactly when the offer ends - the greater sense of urgency you create in your target customer. Examples: Limited time offer: If you call within the next 48 hours you will get (product name) at 50% off. or The next 50 calls will receive a brand new Rolex watch. Ok maybe not a Rolex, but a Timex. But you get the idea. or Click here now this offer expires at midnight November 22, 2003. (specific time) 3.) Have a call to action: Tell your prospective targeted customer exactly what to do next. Be directive. Don't dilly-dally around. Just tell them what to do next. Be careful with this. It is an art. You don't want to sound demanding like a dictator. There is a way to say it and write it so it almost sounds like a request, but it's actually a direction. Examples: Call now. (Some people use explanation points here, I don't! It feels too demanding and could turn your prospective targeted client off and make them feel like you are giving them orders! A period is nice and neutral, but you're still giving direction.) Click here now to place your order. (Nice to throw a "you" or "your" in there, it is more reader involved and speaks directly to your perspective targeted customer) Sign up today. ( ahh, this is ok, but "now" is more immediate then "today." There are 24 hours in a day, but now is now, and forces your targeted customer to make a decision now, and not sometimes today - maybe later on - maybe never) 4.) Give a concrete "real" Guarantee: The only Guarantee that is "real" is to offer to give your customer back his money if he or she is not satisfied. Any other kind of guarantee is just meaningless words to your customer. If you say we guarantee customer satisfaction and quality service, but don't back it up with a money back guarantee, then you are just talking the talk. If you really want to turn window shoppers into paying customers, then walk the walk, and give a money back guarantee. Studies have shown that the better the guarantee, the less likely the product will be returned. If you feel you can't give a "real" guarantee then ask yourself why you can't. Do you doubt your own product? If you really believe in your product, then back that belief up with some teeth. Example: A limited guarantee: Our No-Hassle 30-day Guarantee Try it out for 30 days, if you are not completely satisfied - send it back - and we will fully refund your money. No questions asked. (I don't know what's being sold here, but with a guarantee like that; I'm ready to buy it now.) A Lifetime Guarantee: Our lifetime Guarantee If you're not satisfied - for any reason - simply return the item and we will fully refund your money on the spot or replace it. No questions asked - no hassles. It's important to note here that a guarantee takes all the risk out of it for your customer. Your customer is thinking, I could lose my money. But, if you can make your customer feel like he or she has nothing to lose, then you will be turning window shopper into a paying customer. 5.) Hook your prospective customer with a compelling headline. A good headline is packed with your #1 or #2 benefit. And it is compelling - addressing a need or want of your prospective customer. The more specific the headline - the better it will pull. Many copywriters and Marketers spend 80-90% of their time working on the headline. Why? Because they know their customers will not even see what they have to offer if they are not drawn in first from a compelling headline. Water Gardens That Upset The Neighbours

By Maisy Day Before going ahead with any plans on your water garden be sure to double check on all the safety measures. We all know the dangers that lurk where ponds and children are concerned but if all the standards of safety are adhered to then there should be no problem. Whatever precautions have been taken just remember that young children should not be left unattended or unsupervised around water at any time. Ponds make a beautiful water garden feature just like the flowing fountain. Water gardens are a pleasurable experience to become involved with and also beautiful as eye candy to a lot of nature`s creatures. If tastefully designed - these garden ornamentations can create an atmosphere where a deep sense of tranquillity fills the air just by sound alone.
Depending on the individuals own personal preference you can have water features that are specially designed to give you a tropical world or an imitation of a mini Niagara Falls display. The options are endless as to what can go into your garden. Before putting into force any plans make sure to measure the space to be used - a cluttered water garden can spoil the beauty of it all. Once you have made your mind up on what water feature it is you are having then it is time to choose the right accessories to enhance the dish so as to speak. Flowers- shrubs and lilies for the pond along with the fish have to be carefully thought through to make your mission complete and your dream come true of having a wonderful garden.
Water features are a unique way of putting a finishing touch to a well maintained garden thus upsetting the neighbours leaving them green with envy. Architects when drawing up plans for local landscape projects will nearly always include a water feature. If DIY is your forte and you are going to take on the task your self in designing your own water garden then have a handy man at your side in the way of a do it yourself manual. Books and videos illustrate in great detail how to do the job right. Fabulous ideas for your creation can also be found from these. A master of any trade always uses the right tools - so make sure you have everything you need before starting the work. Maintaining a water garden is important especially ponds which need cleaning on a regular basis especially if home to fish.
When installing your fountain or pond you must remember all the other bits and bobs that you may already have located in certain areas of the garden. Things like access in and out of your garden shed or where the seating area is going to be for your patio table and chairs should not be hampered. Do not cut corners in trying to save the pennies because this can cost you dearly if the right tools are not used. Remember water features attract creatures. If our aquatic friends like toads - frogs and newts are not to your liking then consider plant pots around the garden over flowing with cascading fragrant flowers then leave the kitchen tap running - just a suggestion so you don`t miss out on a water garden feature. Hurricanes and Dating

By Lance Winslow If you are into the dating scene and you do online dating as a hobby and a way to kill time while meeting new people then you will be quite upset to learn that the 2006 Atlantic tropical hurricane season could possibly cut the power in your area or region for up to five to six weeks and that means there is no way you can contact anyone over the Internet. Often the cell towers are down and the power is out and you are reduced to food and water until the authorities rebuild power lines, clear roads and fix the water system. Hurricane season can play hell on your dating situation and make things rather tough. But do not despair because if you are with someone during the Atlantic tropical hurricane season then this can also build the long strong bonding relationship. In fact it is widely known that after horrific storm events there are many children who were conceived and nine months later there is a run on the hospital system with new babies being born. This is because hurricanes build relationships between humans and perhaps you can meet your soul mate and live through such adversity as a hurricane and become closer together. I sincerely hope you will consider all this in 2006 and that you will find the right person so you do not have to deal with the dating situation anymore. Graduate School Rankings

By Kent Pinkerton According to the U.S. Census Bureau statistics, people with a bachelor's degree earn on an average over 62 percent more than those with only a high school diploma. Over a lifetime, the gap in earning potential between a high school diploma and a graduate (or higher) is more than $1,000,000. Such figures act as a motivation for several students to pursue higher studies. Depending upon the course that they want to study, students decide upon certain schools to apply to. Different schools have become famous for different disciplines. Each top graduate school in the U.S. is renowned for certain specialties. This reputation makes students seek out universities as per specialties. In the field of education, Harvard University (MA), the University Of California and Stanford University (CA) are the leaders. The main players in the medical field are Harvard University (MA), John Hopkins University (MD) and Washington University in St. Louis. The field of engineering studies is dominated by Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Stanford University (CA) and University of CaliforniaBerkeley. These universities attract brilliant students from over the world. Harvard University (MA), Stanford University (CA), University of Pennsylvania (Wharton) and Massachusetts Institute are the trendsetters in Business studies. The highest-ranked law schools in the country are Yale University (CT), Harvard University (MA) and Stanford University (CA). Every year there is a list published containing the names of the best graduate schools. There is a lot of hype attached to the ranking but it should be merely used as a guideline. Many colleges do not make it to the list but are well reputed and provide students with a good quality education. Generally, the national universities are rated as the best colleges. They provide academic excellence, have a good faculty, superb infrastructure and offer a wide range of subjects. The selection of an appropriate school should be made taking individual criteria into account. An objective assessment should compare ones interests and abilities with the schools infrastructure and excellence of the teaching faculty in the relevant course. If satisfied on these counts the school will fulfill all expectations. This kind of a decision can be reached taking ranking of the school as a good guideline. Choosing Ground Covers

By Robert Gettle When you switch from planting lawn grasses to planting ground cover the possibilities are practically unlimited. Grass is great for ball games, picnics, playing, and normal traffic areas. But grass requires more maintenance and uses more water than any of the rest of your landscape. Ground cover is a great complement to your grass lawn to minimize maintenance and add elegance to your landscape. Ground cover is a low-growing,ground-hugging perennial plants that carpet an area with blooms or usually colored foliage. The secret to using ground cover successfully is to choose the right ones.
Many varieties of plants make excellent ground covers. Are you tired of the extra maintenance it takes around trees or shrubs to keep them looking good? Use pachysandra or ajuga instead.
Under trees or on a slope where grass grows thin try ground huggers like barberry or lamium or vinca these plants will prevent erosion. Along a sunny walk or a bright spot in your garden try strawberry plants. In addition to the pleasing appearance there is the added bonus of the fruit. The plants will keep producing fruit for years to come. Creeping thyme is excellent between stepping stones .There is also the added benefit of the fragrance every time you walk through. Each step will produce waves of fragrance. The charming evergreen ground cover creeping wintergreen has a year round appeal. In spring small pinkish white bell-shaped flowers are followed by wintergreen-scented bright red fruits that last until the following spring. The lustrous bright green leaves also wintergreen-scented turn burgundy red in the fall. It grows 6 inches tall and spreads nicely once established. Prefers part to full shade in moist acidic soil rich in humus. There are also low growing of varieties of juniper which are over used as this is what most landscapers turn to as a staple ground cover. Ground covers require little maintenance after they are established. Ground covers maintain moisture levels and choke out weeds. Ground covers are especially good on slopes that are difficult to maintain. Ground cover should be enclosed in edging to keep it from becoming invasive. Use landscape timbers ,brick, or pavers to hold its growth in check. Another way to control it is to cut it back. Maybe you can find a friend to give it to. Elidel and Protopic? Natural Alternatives to Treat Eczema

By Ben Lynch As I was couch bound one evening, a 'cute' commerical for an eczema drug appeared. It stated that it treated eczema and that there was no cure for eczema. Needless to say, as a naturopathic medical student, I was furious. There is a cure for eczema. It is called prevention. But that is another issue. The issue I want to address here: Elidel, the 'cute' eczema drug, causes cancer in three different animal species. That is not cute. Protopic also causes cancer in the same animal species. The FDA advised doctors to prescribe Elidel or Protopic only if all else failed for eczema. Do not use long term and do not use on children under 2. What are the advisories on Elidel and Protopic:
Do not use on 2 years or youngerDo not use on people with weak immune systemsDo not use long term - only intermittently or short termDo not use until all other eczema treatments have failed What harms can Elidel and Protopic create: The potential for cancer increases with frequency. Longer the use, the higher the chance. The potential for cancer increases with amount. More used, the higher the chance.Upper respiratory infections increased in children with Elidel as compared to placebo.Unknown issues with developing immune systems in children - harm them or not? This is what they've found so far. The list will grow. Why didn't they discover this before it went on the market???? Bottom line: Do not use Elidel or Protopic. A natural eczema treatment is possible: Seek the advice of a trained naturopathic physician and your eczema will be gone. Yes. Gone. Food allergy is a main cause of eczema. Remove food you are allergic or insensitive to - and your eczema will likely disappear. Typical food allergens which cause eczema: egg, wheat, or dairy are the biggest players. Which one it is can be determined with a food elimination diet. Eliminate that specific food and its relations (like soy sauce - wheat based) completely for 3 weeks. Then at the end of three weeks, eat a lot of that avoided food. How do you feel? Symptoms come back, aggravate, no change? Obviously, if aggravated, you are sensitive or allergic. Avoid that food for 6 months at least. This allows your immune system to calm down and not react to everything. There is also a simple technique that I learned this afternoon in lecture. Our professor stated that most people find it difficult to do a food elimination diet. I agree. I know I do. He said he has patients do a 48 hour fast consuming only a quality food supplement powder such as BioCleanse Functional Food. Nothing else is eaten during this time. He states that 6 to 10 servings a day of BioCleanse hold off appetite just fine and allow the body to remove the reacting food antigens. At the end of the 48 hours, the skin is assessed along with energy and overall well-being. If the eczema improved over this time, and yes it can improve this fast as skin regenerates quickly, then he knows the eczema is diet related. A strong topical herbal cream preparation is also useful in helping treat eczema naturally. Dr Rowan Hamilton of Rowan Botanicals recently released Professional Intensif and Professional Extreme. The bottom line today though is to avoid these Elidel and Protopic. Treat the cause of eczema - don't just palliate the surface with a topical steroid. Steroids just push toxins deeper and to a different location. You know what the largest detoxification organ is in the body? Liver? Nope. The skin. Where do toxins appear when the liver is overwhelmed with toxins? The skin. Remove the cause of liver stagnation, do a light cleanse and apply a proven topical to your skin. In a few weeks, you should be much improved. On a side note: You know what may happen when steroids are given for kids with eczema? Asthma. Time and time again, we see this in the clinic. We take the history of some asthmatic child and find that he/she was given topical steroids to control eczema or some other skin affliction. This goes back to what I stated earlier. Steroids only suppress the immune system and stop the body's natural healing response to a buildup of unwanted substances. These substances then accumulate in the body elsewhere. It is not advisable to push something deeper into the body. Better out than in. We then address the child's skin problem naturally and the asthma goes away. Sounds like a bunch of BS doesn't it? I don't BS. With a degree in Cell and Molecular Biology, I understand science. My medical school is on the leading edge of natural healing and we are changing the way medicine is done. It is extremely rewarding to see patient after patient improve. You can as well. Back to the topic at hand: Follow the FDA link to read the statement about Elidel and Protopic. Stay healthy. Ben PS - The basic premise you will see me state over and over ...and over again: treat the cause not the symptoms. Sounds basic but it is far from basic. Imagine finding why someone has high blood pressure? You know what conventional medicine's term for some causes of hypertension? Essential hypertension [what's that?] and Idiopathic hypertension [means unknown cause]. Pin it down and you're set. I look forward to writing about this soon. I'm taking Cardiology currently and learning a ton. It is amazing how successful natural treatments are for hypertension. Don't misunderstand me - I completely support conventional medicine and work with MD's all the time. Seattle is a very amazing city as the bridge is solid between conventional and complementary medicine. There is a time for drugs and there is time for natural alternatives - and there is time for both at once.
