Elidel and Protopic? Natural Alternatives to Treat Eczema

By Ben Lynch As I was couch bound one evening, a 'cute' commerical for an eczema drug appeared. It stated that it treated eczema and that there was no cure for eczema. Needless to say, as a naturopathic medical student, I was furious. There is a cure for eczema. It is called prevention. But that is another issue. The issue I want to address here: Elidel, the 'cute' eczema drug, causes cancer in three different animal species. That is not cute. Protopic also causes cancer in the same animal species. The FDA advised doctors to prescribe Elidel or Protopic only if all else failed for eczema. Do not use long term and do not use on children under 2. What are the advisories on Elidel and Protopic:
Do not use on 2 years or youngerDo not use on people with weak immune systemsDo not use long term - only intermittently or short termDo not use until all other eczema treatments have failed What harms can Elidel and Protopic create: The potential for cancer increases with frequency. Longer the use, the higher the chance. The potential for cancer increases with amount. More used, the higher the chance.Upper respiratory infections increased in children with Elidel as compared to placebo.Unknown issues with developing immune systems in children - harm them or not? This is what they've found so far. The list will grow. Why didn't they discover this before it went on the market???? Bottom line: Do not use Elidel or Protopic. A natural eczema treatment is possible: Seek the advice of a trained naturopathic physician and your eczema will be gone. Yes. Gone. Food allergy is a main cause of eczema. Remove food you are allergic or insensitive to - and your eczema will likely disappear. Typical food allergens which cause eczema: egg, wheat, or dairy are the biggest players. Which one it is can be determined with a food elimination diet. Eliminate that specific food and its relations (like soy sauce - wheat based) completely for 3 weeks. Then at the end of three weeks, eat a lot of that avoided food. How do you feel? Symptoms come back, aggravate, no change? Obviously, if aggravated, you are sensitive or allergic. Avoid that food for 6 months at least. This allows your immune system to calm down and not react to everything. There is also a simple technique that I learned this afternoon in lecture. Our professor stated that most people find it difficult to do a food elimination diet. I agree. I know I do. He said he has patients do a 48 hour fast consuming only a quality food supplement powder such as BioCleanse Functional Food. Nothing else is eaten during this time. He states that 6 to 10 servings a day of BioCleanse hold off appetite just fine and allow the body to remove the reacting food antigens. At the end of the 48 hours, the skin is assessed along with energy and overall well-being. If the eczema improved over this time, and yes it can improve this fast as skin regenerates quickly, then he knows the eczema is diet related. A strong topical herbal cream preparation is also useful in helping treat eczema naturally. Dr Rowan Hamilton of Rowan Botanicals recently released Professional Intensif and Professional Extreme. The bottom line today though is to avoid these Elidel and Protopic. Treat the cause of eczema - don't just palliate the surface with a topical steroid. Steroids just push toxins deeper and to a different location. You know what the largest detoxification organ is in the body? Liver? Nope. The skin. Where do toxins appear when the liver is overwhelmed with toxins? The skin. Remove the cause of liver stagnation, do a light cleanse and apply a proven topical to your skin. In a few weeks, you should be much improved. On a side note: You know what may happen when steroids are given for kids with eczema? Asthma. Time and time again, we see this in the clinic. We take the history of some asthmatic child and find that he/she was given topical steroids to control eczema or some other skin affliction. This goes back to what I stated earlier. Steroids only suppress the immune system and stop the body's natural healing response to a buildup of unwanted substances. These substances then accumulate in the body elsewhere. It is not advisable to push something deeper into the body. Better out than in. We then address the child's skin problem naturally and the asthma goes away. Sounds like a bunch of BS doesn't it? I don't BS. With a degree in Cell and Molecular Biology, I understand science. My medical school is on the leading edge of natural healing and we are changing the way medicine is done. It is extremely rewarding to see patient after patient improve. You can as well. Back to the topic at hand: Follow the FDA link to read the statement about Elidel and Protopic. Stay healthy. Ben PS - The basic premise you will see me state over and over ...and over again: treat the cause not the symptoms. Sounds basic but it is far from basic. Imagine finding why someone has high blood pressure? You know what conventional medicine's term for some causes of hypertension? Essential hypertension [what's that?] and Idiopathic hypertension [means unknown cause]. Pin it down and you're set. I look forward to writing about this soon. I'm taking Cardiology currently and learning a ton. It is amazing how successful natural treatments are for hypertension. Don't misunderstand me - I completely support conventional medicine and work with MD's all the time. Seattle is a very amazing city as the bridge is solid between conventional and complementary medicine. There is a time for drugs and there is time for natural alternatives - and there is time for both at once. Know your Man: Is He Your Child?

By Maria Moratto one day the lady of the house handed her husband his jacket.
Here, she said. Put your coat on.
Her husband took it obediently. Okay, he said. But am I cold or are we going somewhere? As much as most of us are the motherly, caring, protective type, we need to remember that men are not our children. So, ordering them around, reminding them to do their chores, and scolding them as if they were a child will not do. Lets not assume they will obey our orders. Heres an example, and a humiliating one, at that. Alex and I went to a salad bar the other day. We were sitting in a booth. Next to us, in another booth, were two couples: an older man with a younger woman and another younger couple. While my son went to get some sodas, I saw that the older man had a T-shirt with sayings that totally agreed with our ethos and ethics. Immediately I went over to his booth, apologized for interrupting the conversation and told him I liked his T-shirt. I went back to my booth and then my son came back. Well, we exchanged some comments about the very issue, both Alex and I and the man sitting in the next booth. Though our exchange was short, we realized that we were both working for a certain university, in different campuses. During that time, the wives were back at the salad bar. Later, when he and his wife were leaving the booth to go back for dessert, I think, he came to our booth to tell us something about his daughter doing something for this cause that we support. He was in the middle of a sentence, when she yelled something at him; I didnt understand what she said. At once, he looked at her and, without blinking an eye, hurriedly left us to follow the wife. In mid sentence! And when he came back, he only smiled, a little embarrassed and that was the end of the story. Now, I ask you: Why would a man do this? Why let himself be humiliated like that? It was obvious he was not flirting with me or anything so her anger couldnt be jealousy; he was just being himself, I think: a pleasant man who follows a conversation. I just cant help but think how many Gents out there are in this submissive position because they dont want to confront the beasts they have as spouses it is either obey or I will make your life miserable. Gee. This has to end! They deserve better than we may believe so. A Word of Advice: Ladies: If you kind of see yourself doing the same thing as the woman in my story, please, stop. Gents: if you feel your collar is choking you, growl and bark: Enough! But, whatever you do, please, dont bite! Maria Moratto 2006

Relationship Radio - An Interview with Jess Kennedy Williams about Heart Break Free Dating

By Jeff Herring Relationships and dating can lead to heart break, and we have all had our share of heart breaks. That's why I was intrigued by Relationship Coach Jess Kennedy Williams notion about heart break free dating. Intrigued, but skeptical. Recently on my Relationship Radio Show on AM 1620 Radio Sandy Springs in Atlanta, I interviewed Relationship Coach Jess Kennedy Williams, author of the number one dating book on BarnesandNoble.com Heart Break Free Dating. The basis of her approach can be found in this quote from her book "When it comes to dating, listen to your gut instinct, not your heart. Your gut tries to protect you from getting hurt, your heart has no clue what it is doing." The secret, according to Jess Kennedy Williams, is to focus on what you want. You do this by knowing your requirements, needs and wants. Requirements - These are the things you must have in a relationship - these are the deal breakers. If these requirements are not met, the relationship will not work. Needs - Needs are close to requirements in importance, but they are negotiable. If a need is not met, it will cause an issue in the relationship, but will not necessarily cause the end of the relationship. Wants - This is the gravy, the icing on the cake, to mix the food metaphors here. When you go out into the dating world with clarity about your requirements, needs and wants, and pay attention, you can accomplish two important things: 1) Protect yourself from getting into a relationships that cannot work long term, because you will be eliminating the outset those that do not line up with your requirements, needs and wants, and 2) Dramatically increase the chances of finding the person that does line up with your relationship map, and enjoy a sustainable long-term relationship. Belly Button Rings Are A Popular Fashion Accessory

By Richard Davies A tattoo or piercing is a sign in modern society of style and individuality. As with anything, when it becomes fashionable a lot of people jump on the bandwagon and then it becomes less unique. So what are you doing to make your tattoo or piercing decision more original? Do you care? Are you happy to be one of many? The good news is that even if a piercing in terms of where it is located is common, the actual accessory can be very stylish and relatively unique. This brings me on to the subject I want to walk about which is belly button rings. Have you got one yet? A belly button ring I mean. These are now very popular. At one time it was a piercing that was few and far between but has now reached 'critical mass'. There aren't many that haven't got one or considered having one, at least at some point. Also, really, lets be honest, it's a female thing. Men and belly button rings don't really go hand in hand. As with any piercing, you can be super stylish or you can make it look terrible. Please don't be the latter. So, having firmly established that the belly button ring is firmly in the female domain of our species, lets also accept they are as common as back tattoos and tongue piercings. That much is a given. There is, however, something alluringly attractive about the naval if it is decorated tastefully, which is where the belly button ring comes into its own. If you choose the right belly button ring it will look exquisitely attractive. There are lots of belly button rings available to purchase, and there is a wide variety to be found at great prices out there in cyberspace so have a good look around for the right one. Belly button rings may not be 'as' unique as they were before they became so populare, but you can certainly add your own touch of style and flare to this type of naval adornment and I can't see them going out of fashion anytime soon. Wood Turning Safety - Essential for Enjoyment

By Darrell Feltmate The practice of wood turning involves throwing wood at one's face and stopping it with sharp tools. While this is said somewhat tongue in cheek, it is none the less true. It is to hoped that the method of securing the wood on the lathe will be sound but it also true that there is less than sound wood to contend with at times, not to mention the shavings that often come directly at the turner's face and which may be accompanied by splinters of wood and pieces of bark. Obviously some rules for safety need to followed. While most are simple common sense that does not mean that all wood turners everywhere follow them. In fact, the first and most important rule of safety is simply to use common sense. If something looks dangerous it likely is. Do not do it. 1.Know your lathe well. Read the manual and learn all the parts and what they do.
2.Protect your eyes, ears and nose. Use a full face mask for turning, hearing protectors when the noise is loud, and a good dust mask for sanding.
3.Keep dangling things away from turning wood which could catch them and pull you in. Long hair should be tied back and do not wear loose clothing, jewelry or other loose objects.
4.Use an appropriate speed for the wood on the lathe. If the lathe shakes, slow it down until balance is achieved.
5.Keep all belt guards in place and make sure that the tail stock and tool rest are tight. Check them periodically as you turn.
6.Rotate the wood by hand to ensure it clears the tool rest and lathe bed before turning on the lathe.
7.Turn off the lathe before adjusting the rest.
8.Maintain a firm but comfortable grip on the tool at all times.
9.Do not reach over turning wood. Shut the lathe off first. Make sure you have a firm stance and good footing. Clean up the shavings as they get in the way.
10. Regularly maintain the lathe to ensure it is sound and in good repair.
11. Dull tools do not cut well and may slip. Sharpen often. A good thing to remember is to sharpen to keep a tool sharp, not to regrind a dull tool.
12. Use good lighting in the work area.
13. If tired, rest. Do not use the lathe when tired or when using alcohol or drugs.
14. Beware of electric shock. Electric cords need to be in good repair and the lathe should not be used under wet condition.
15. Make sure all wrenches, chuck adjusting tools and other loose objecs are removed before turning on the lathe.
16. Never leave the lathe running unattended, even if only turning around for another tool. Remember that the work is not over until a piece is sanded and a finish is applied. Sanding will generate an amazing amount of dust that is harmful to your lungs. A simple sanding mask should be worn and if possible a dust collector used. Many popular turning finishes are safe for human consumption but others may be toxic, including the fumes. Read all directions carefully and use appropriate safety measures such as ventilation and breathing masks. Above all, be aware that people have turned wood safely for thousands of years and a few simple precautions will continue to make it safe and enjoyable. Darrell Feltmate is a juried wood turner whose web site, http://aroundthewoods.com , contains detailed information about wood turning for the novice or experienced turner as well as a collection of turnings for your viewing pleasure. Antidepressants the Alternative

By David Mcevoy Depression is a very common problem which can affect your quality of life, from just slowing you down to seriously incapacitating you. Its also a serious issue for the health service in both the USA and the UK and is predicted to become the second biggest burden on both countries health services in less than two decades. Many people suffer in silence, not wanting to go to their doctor with a condition which some still find embarrassing and difficult to discuss. Others find that the side-effects of the antidepressants they are prescribed prove almost as debilitating as depression itself, or simply that the drugs do not have the right effect. This can leave sufferers feeling even more isolated and unhappy. However, research suggests that there may be a natural remedy for what is often referred to as the common cold of mental illness. After extensive research scientists have come to believe that high quality fish oils, rich in Omega 3 essential fatty acids, are the natural solution to depression, even in severe cases in which the patient has not responded to other treatment. The key to alleviating depressive symptoms is EPA or elcosapentaenoic acid, an essential fatty acid of the Omega 3 group which can be found in some specialist fish oils. It has been shown by brain scans to regenerate the brain, and it is also possible that it stimulates stem cells into producing new nerve cells. EPA has a positive effect on the brain regardless of whether you are depressed or otherwise of low mood. It has been shown to improve mental performance as well as a host of other health benefits including decreasing the risk of heart attacks, deep vein thrombosis or DVT, and stroke. An international group of medical scientists have assembled an impressive body of research over the last couple of years which gives weight to these astonishing beneficial claims. Consultant psychiatrist Dr Basant Puri, who is also a senior lecturer at Londons Imperial College MRI unit, is an enthusiastic supporter of the EPA cause and prescribes it in a high-quality form to his depressed patients at his Hammersmith Hospital Clinic. He says they are responding well; "Studies show that this nutrient, found in high quality fish oil, can clear the symptoms of depression within three or four weeks, and then the patient can ward off any further attacks just by taking a daily supplement." Dr Puri first became intrigued by the function of EPA when studying nutrition, and when he became a psychiatrist and brain imager he could see for himself the benefits of supplementing diet with EPA. It became clear that a lack of EPA in diet may in fact be a major cause of depression. Dr Puris work and insights led him to consider the accepted view on the biochemistry of the brain and to think differently. He realised that human beings ate more fish during the period in history when our brains were still developing, and saw that "The trouble today is that many things we eat, along with stress and nicotine, inhibit the body's own ability to produce [essential fatty acids]." One 21-year-old man Dr Puri first treated EPA with had suffered from depression for seven years or more, but after taking the supplement for nine months he had a new lease of life. He set up his own business and was planning to travel to the US to study a significant change had occurred. And not only in his mood, but in his brain itself. A comparison of a brain scan taken before the EPA treatment with one taken after indicated, to Dr Puris amazement, that the brain had partially regrown. Depressive patients show low levels of electrical activity in the brain and an actual reduction in the cerebral cortex this patient showed nerve cell regrowth and a thickening of the greater part of the brain, commonly referred to as the grey matter. Dr Puri took this as indicative that EPA, with its apparent power to stimulate the brain to make it repair itself, could bring hope to people suffering from a wide variety of conditions. Omega 3 is found chiefly in oily fish tuna, fresh salmon, pilchards, sardines and mackerel but these alone do not provide EPA in sufficient qualities to have this amazing effect on the brain. Supplements, which can be taken alongside antidepressants in complete safety, are necessary to treat depression. Its not a good idea to stop antidepressants immediately, without a gradual reduction as advised by your GP, as you can suffer severe side effects. You should always consult your GP before embarking on any treatment, however, and should be especially careful with fish oil supplements if you are taking any blood-thinning medication as EPA also thins the blood. Its good to find an EPA supplement which contains a lesser quantity of DHA, another Omega 3 fatty acid, as too much of this can lessen the effectiveness of EPA. Patients suffering from mild to moderate depression should take two capsules twice a day with food, while patients with severe depression should take a higher dose after consultation with a specialist. As with antidepressants its advised that you continue to take the supplements after the symptoms have gone in the case of EPA, Dr Puri recommends two capsules a day as a maintenance dose. There are positive side effects of EPA too patients will find their skin looking fresher and the condition of their hair and nails improving, which can help to give that boost of self-esteem depression sufferers benefit so much from. Secrets of Good Pedicure

By Alexander Brin People often dont pay much attention to their feet. Loose shoes, standing all day, stubbing the toes, ignoring the nail are reasons of feets bad work. We begin to think about our feet only when they hurt. Fortunately, there are some simple ways to help your feet to recover and to prevent problems in the future. A professional pedicure is a very pleasant procedure and you can recreate this experience at home with only a small investment of time, money, and resources. At first, remove any old nail polish and then soak your feet in a tub of hot water. Add some bath or Epsom salts for better relax. Keep your feet in the water for at least five to ten minutes. After it, remove dead skin and soften your feet using a small brush. Put each foot back into the water after youve finished brushing. Take a bit of foot scrub lotion to further soften any rough spots like your heels or the sides of your toes. When youve massaged the lotion into your feet, take a pumice stone to finish off any lingering rough skin.
Remove your feet from the water and dry them with a soft towel. Rub your feet with some of your favorite lotion. After youve finished massaging your feet, its time to pay attention to your nails. Trim and shape your nails with clippers and a file, and then use a cuticle stick to gently push back your supple cuticles. After getting your cuticles in order you can even out the surface of your nail by applying a clear or opaque base coat. This will help hide any ridges or lumpy areas that might show up if you applied nail color directly to the affected area. When the base coat is dry, add a coat of your favorite nail color. Its a good idea to apply several coats to improve the durability of your finish. Clean up any messy areas as you go, using a small cloth or cotton swab dipped in nail polish remover to dissolve stains that may have been deposited around the edges of your toe nail. An additional coat of clear sealer will prevent chips and scuff marks from harming your pedicure masterpiece. Now your feet are ready for any deed!
Dont forget about everyday care of your feet - supportive, well-fitted shoes, washing and drying your feet carefully to avoid fungal and bacterial problems and more attention to any problem. Being Prepared With First Aid Equipment

By Michelle Bery In certain work environments and sometimes at home it is necessary to have first aid equipment that goes beyond the simple gauze, Bandaids, and antibiotic cream kept in most elementary first aid kits. In some situations, comprehensive first aid equipment is essential to maintaining a safe and prepared environment. Having this first aid equipment and knowing how to operate it properly can be mean the difference between life and death. One such piece of first aid equipment that has garnered quite a bit of press recently is the portable automated external defibrillator. When someones heart stops beating, the external defibrillator transmits electric waves through paddles in order to restart the normal rhythms of the heart. This is a serious piece of first aid equipment and should only be used by someone who is well trained in doing so. However, because of the effectiveness of the external defibrillator, it is now being installed on airplanes, in schools, and even in offices. Specific people in these environments are being trained on how to use this piece of first aid equipment in the hopes that it can save a life in an otherwise perilous situation. Another important component of first aid equipment is a litter a small, easily collapsible canvas canvas stretcher of sorts. It is used to help remove a victim from a dangerous situation or to take someone closer to a place where rescue workers can reach them. A tourniquet is another imperative piece of first aid equipment used to temporarily stop the bleeding of severe injuries until emergency services can arrive. Additionally, first aid equipment also includes protective gear for those administering the first aid. Goggles, a compact and disposable mouth-to-mouth resuscitation device that allows for sterile administering of rescue breaths, and rubber gloves are all a part of first aid equipment. The goal of first aid equipment in the work, school, or home environment is to assess life threatening injuries and stabilize victims until professional emergency medical assistance can arrive. But this first line of defense when used correctly - can often save a victims life. For easy to understand, in depth information about first aid visit our ezGuide 2 First Aid. Teas and Herbal Concoctions

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Thomas_Gaudette] Thomas Gaudette I think from this point forward you should be very explicit in the form of tea you mean, of course you were referring to Black, Green, Oolong, Red, or White Tea, but that should always be mentioned due to the major misconception (to nobodies fault) that the Tea mentioned is of the same plant, coming from Camellia sinensis, this shrub produces the leave and dependent on the preparation of the leaf, is where one obtains the various teas or Tea as mentioned above. Furthermore in life, sometimes when one says, writes, or depicts tea, that one is mentioning a broad spectrum of tea in general, which some think consists of any orally acceptable decoction of the various thousands of plants which are beneficial to humans/animals/plants, ie. a cup of tea, one usually thinks of black or Oolong or green but it could refer as mentioned in the last sentence any of the thousands of herbs, like an herbal tea. For example; Refering to the book 20,000 secrets of tea,
Cranberry; a berry tea for vitamin C, b- complex, iron, and calcium-the antistress nutrients. It also cleanses the urinary tact, bladder, and kidneys. Dandelion, A root or leaf ea for toning your liver and removing toxins. It's a natural diuretic with potassium to maintain electrolyte balance.
Astragulus, A root tea with amino acids to restore your immunity, and maintain strong defenses. It also can be used to enhance other tea. Astragulus is also a type of aphrodisiac but of course should not be manipulated for unjust causes, like wasting oneself away for the pursuit of pleasure. These threes teas or herbal decoctions were depicted maybe to help coincide with your seeking some of the essentials that vegetarians are requiring. So as you can see many variables play into the "tea" inclination and a nomenclature acceptability of a herbs terms of use, and one should always be specific to the type of tea, be it generic, or specific or even vice versa (depends how one is looking, reading, undestanding it). And the more people that understand this, we will be better off and much stronger as a community of health conscious individuals being able to educate ourselves on the systematic constituents and/or (basically) the uses of different types of tea, whether it be the specific nomenclated Tea of the Theaceae Family known as Camellia Sinesis (Latin) KUNTZE or for various other decoctions known as tea in which we drink for ailments and remedies and known as beverages as well. Tea as a beverage will be able to remedy many ailments and there is always a crossover between Eastern and Western Medicine so to divide is so bias. Its effects as well as effects within a pill form usually are referred to with the same definations, and most herbal books have those designations which will helpyou to seek your herbal tea remedy.
These definitions may be tonic; which is good for well being, diuretic; help increase urine, Nervine; helping to soothe the nerves. Any education into these definitions will help one determine a herbal decoction or tea beverage that is good for him/her. Herbal Tea most often is to be consumed with water after brewing and hopefully not allowed to ferment into alcohol. To go alittle further on this topic, the alcohol acts as a preservative and many liquors contain different types of consitutents. Although if one can come to a conclusion that he doesnt always need the alcohol to gain the effects of the constituents included in the bottle of alcohol ie, Anisette, contains fennel. Its the fennel one enjoys, and that individual doesnt need to take the alcohol with it to seeks its healing effects. With commerce today, the preparations do not need to be contained for months at a time across shipping water like in the old days, so we can just ween off the alcohol and gain the soothing effects of herbs properties through a tea concoction, and these herbal teas should be more available in restaurants. Overall one should realize its not the alcohol that they are after but the constituents in it, and there should be support groups that encompass this type of environment and system. As it is not always easy to find the structure that allows for an alcoholic to ween to an unalcohol beverage that produces the same effect and coming to learn that the alcohol feeling isnt necessary. Sometimes the bottle is the only way to get to the ingredients a said alcoholic needs. On this typic here, I want to commit that the chemical makeup of wheat is a very addictive constituent, activating the androgenous zone and so doesnt most burbon as well as opiates and they quicker society comes to realize this the quicker we may be able to help fuel those whom need the care the most to deactivate off the hallucinagenics as well as alcohol, and the feeling of rest, if I may interpolate with those thoughts. My name being Thomas and having to do with bread as defined in the dictionary has helped me to lead into an undersanding of this, and to lapse away from glutonous behavior. Ie the bread basket and basket sometimes refereeing to trouble, well mom whats in the basket? Mother natures best I hope.
Also, some may want to know that Hops, a constituent in many beers is a hypnotic, be forewarned. And rootbeer was once known as any decoction that contained a root and the tea that was made out of it; but now with the soft drink, I think the rootbeer more or less refers to a beer made with a specific root, maybe licorice; but again overall could refer to any helpful root used in a decoction or tea as one maybe inclined to say or make. Try to stay out of the softdrinks so much sugar and Im kinda a stiffy for the cornsyrup, just think its burned up to much to make the syrup losing the key constituents of the corn, as anything with labeled condensate. And well barley becareful ot to allow to stand alone to long cause, its latin name is Darnel, ya like in that sitcom that I dont recall of yesteryear, Good Times or something, or is it Mamas House you know Oh Archie which in its latin meaning means Drunkeness, the same with the Bithstone Stone Amethyst, A=against, Methyst=drunkingness, so febraury should be against drunkedness. Laughin anyway. Take a breather and heres a new type of topic. I think it is or may have been a major problem, hurdle, and misconception as we (most of us) were brought up to learn to use all God's plants to our benefit, and a quick slash to that is that some are criminalized ie marijauna and caco, which is so close to the spelling for the coca nut, even cola nut as well as sounding like coffee nut, and even furthermore not to confuse the coconut, (the big round one) and once we can establish that those with the C's nuts; cola, coffee, cocao(also known as cocoa, ie. Chocolate tree), caco,(cocaine base shrub/nut), and coconut (like the milk, or if I may fruit)are beneficial. ("I believe at this point, with a little waryriness to cocao(chocolate tree) and coca leaf, those forementioned are not hallucinagenic,) but if anything is overconsumed, people have a problem with their effects, ie to much chocolate (coca will make one hallucinate or sexually active), please watch out this Halloween). Now if I may, we who like caffeine to speed up via green Tea and the people that enjoy a caffeine via coffee, (this may piss some people off, but even coffee may be considered to be a tea), well having all the previous knowledge as forementioned and not being surcombing to lobbists of the food industry(coffee) and sugar industry, the understanding of some of the fundamentals and constituents of the nuts is essential. For example, cocao or cacoa sounds and is spelled so close to caco that it creates confusion and I think the big wigs of the chocolate and coffee industry want that, so that the caco is much forgotten and they may monopolize and billions of dollars to go to antidrugging for the use of building a society and destroying another for its income. I mean the acetates of the cutting (or bringing forth its major constituent for cocaine are not good, but the access to Caco nut should not be limited, (like why Coca it isnt in Coca Cola anymore), personally I would like to try a decoction of the caco leaf in a tea. With regards to marijauna, though a hallucinogenic and so isn't sage and wormwood (known as Tarrigon) (outlawed as Absinthe Liquor) which without the alcohol is used by many, contains Thujone (a constituent) that is hallucinogenic and mimics the active constituent of Marijauna, (TetrahydraCannibinol) both anodynes or pain killers. Well buyer beware, even lettuce is in the opium family, hereby in amounts will present a hallucinary effect. Soothing to some and being able to manipulate by others. Well with all that, the laws shouldn't outlaw only identify and in no way should people be roled around for not understanding what the industries try to circumvent through not well known knowledge for the fact that they want to monopolize on a one sided industry thereby hurting farmers and making large sums of cash for their onesidededness and unmistakenably hurting many through incarcination and ill fortune. I think some of the time the warriors of either side lacks a fully fundamental understanding of what they may be fighting over, and its the uppity upsy people who are holding the manipulating cards secretly. Upon confrontation with those men and the warriors, when they do learn they may turn the other way for feelings of guilt or for selfindulgeness of what they seem to be having problems with, because change is often difficult and if there isnt a good support system, failure is usually most unavoidable (well I had a brain fart and wanted to use another word like (undelikely not to happen, beg your pardon.) But if they are wrapped up in their society with overwhelming bills or on the reverse side nothing but the soil to plant that is being burned up or taken for other uses, change is difficult and fighting prevails, read an article about the monopolizing of chocolate fields recently in Africa, be wary of what you eat and whom is suffering for it. Same with the coffee produces and the caco farmers that wish to grow their own crops and not be manipulated and scrutinized for the sake of large industry buying up fertile planting area for their Coffee (cash crop). Another alternative funny as it seems with all this craziness around is an alternate to coffee and some says it resembles or taste like chocolate tastes like coffee, it is know as Guarana. Thats my blog a lot statement, feeling or whatever, so although the disciple Paul mentioned to stay out of Southeast Asia, I like God's Green Tea and the taste of other Green Teas, whatever the green tea herbal tea may be, and without sugar and care not for coffee's laxative and find the herbal green teas benficial to my health, so If I'm damned when Peters gates closes before me for drinking green tea maybe the Tibetains will allow me to sit in. Sorry Im abit unhappy over the 1930 cosmetique, drug laws and I think alot of information has gone taboo since those times and god thankful Ive come to find out and may help others in its resurfacing and decriminalization. Paul was a carrier of the cross, maybe I can relieve him one way or another, but quitting Green Tea or other herbal Teas is tough for me, seeing that it opens my life for a healthy breath and overall bodily relief. To kind of reiterate, Potters Herbal Cyclopedia has an entry for Tea, Camellia Sinesis, (L) KUNTZE, Fam. Theaceae
It refers to Tea, be it Black, Green, Oolong, and Red. Henceforth a common misconception that shouldnt be misconstrued is for those whom use various different herb teas with preparation by decoction and call them tea, because there is a known Tea (GreenTea etc.). Please specificy when using different herbs through decoction or (teas), like be careful of the "general" term Tea as inclined better or not with the specific nomenclated "Tea"; green tea, black tea, red tea, oolong tea. The plant Tea is also determined by location of where it comes from but based more on the preparation of raw product because even from China comes teas processes and/or fermented as opposed to India where a lot of the processed teas are known to have been prepared. Not to confuse the issue but Tea as a slang, is known as heroin, or further more defined in the dictionary as anarchy. Well I think it is sometimes a misleading step for those whom seek a better lifestyle through God's giving plants to be used by society and after all it is the poppy only cut again with acetates to make the constituent of something like the opiate come forth but be careful, for maybe not all the properties of the original poppy may be intact, as it may be burned off. Usually with all natural usuage the plants include their own type constituent buffers, which may helpdecrease overdosing within their own signature. Theres a term known as signature of doctrines, which is or has been a guide by the ancients and some today as to what a plant looks like and what it helps with within a person, such as Mullein, a big leaf furry plant which helps in respiratory, the leaves the natives say are similair to the lung, with its aveolli, the little bushy branches in the lung that pick up the oxygen, well on the reverse the plant with its softness picks up the C2, be wary, this is an extremely dangerous practice and please never try anything outdoors without educated intervention and practice through tangible study. If all the forementioned help to make some sense, I'm happy and if I baffled you, please speak freely and one (you)will come to learn through questioning. I wonder whom didn't want the poppy around and therefor people had to condense it to a heroin form for smaller "tighter shipment" so that people could still obtain it.
Those with the Hippocratic oathe?
Please pardon my inadequacies and the hypocrisy that our system/s sometimes entail. Best to all and watch out for those hallucinagenic and hypnotic properties that may be unsuspectingly added via lack of knowledge or for other avericious (greedy) peoples and means. umm "Green Tea" Well even Wax Myrtle on this East coast of N. America, Massachusetts "the blue hill" or Massachuset, native origin; makes one soothing beverage, but some say the wax is toxic, many things are, and please be knowledgeable to various types of references, because even Potters Cyclopedia doesnt mention toxicity and is sometimes less detailed on definitions Don't forget to add a little Appalachia tea to your remedy list, white willow 100% natural aspirin, along with its other beneficial constituents that bayer has left out in its synethetic form.
A little chew on the stick will do ya! Watch out as blood pressure will decease. Please dont get bogged down by the thousands of choices of natural decoctions as its is a lifetime of learning, and a field, no pun intended, that should be held dear. Rolfing - Description and Benefits

By Michael Russell Rolfing was developed about 50 years ago by Ida Rolf, PhD, a biochemist who became interested in the subject of body structure and function while trying to relieve her son's pain. She originally named it "structural integration" and although this name is still used today, it has become more popularly known as Rolfing - a name that is now trademarked. The theory behind Rolfing is that the body's natural state is relaxed, comfortable and aligned with the Earth's gravity. However, over time the stresses of everyday life cause people to adjust the way they hold their bodies and the way they move. An example is what happens when people spend long hours at a computer - their head drops down and forward, their shoulders hunch over and their ears end up over air instead of directly above their shoulders. Newly-learned positions and movements become patterns and for a while may be more comfortable. But eventually, because they work against gravity, they put even more stress on the body. Muscles may become shorter on one side and longer on the other and the tissue that connects them - the fascia - may become stiff and even fused, creating adhesions. A Rolfing treatment is designed to not only release the adhesions and relax the muscles, but also teach better body mechanics so that the patterns the client has just "unlearned" don't return. A Rolfing session does use massage techniques, but these are usually done more slowly and deeply; since Rolfing is intended to affect the structure of the body, the more superficial techniques of massage are not helpful. The work the Rolfer does can be intense. But the level of discomfort the client may feel will depend on how out of the balance the body is and whether the Rolfer has to do a lot of work to release the effects of old injuries. The best advice is to try to avoid tensing up by "breathing through" the more difficult techniques. After a treatment the client will usually feel lighter and more balanced and may even be taller. Rolfing is usually done in a series of 10 sessions, starting with specific areas and progressing to whole-body treatments. These sessions are usually done about a week to two weeks apart. The Rolfer may also give the client exercises to do between sessions to help them move more correctly and stay aware of how they move - in other words, to keep the re-education process going. Some people would rather get only one or two treatments focusing on what they think are their problem areas, but most Rolfers discourage this. They believe that focused treatment is not helpful and does not have lasting effects, because each part of the body supports each other part. Some of the effects of Rolfing are - increased flexibility - better posture - relief of pain, muscle tension, or headaches - smoother, more efficient body movement - emotional balancing (which results from the physical balancing and release of old injuries) Because it works to change the structure - and therefore function - of the entire body, Rolfing may not be as relaxing as some other forms of bodywork, but for long-term effects many people prefer it to anything else. Decorating Your Wedding Invitations - Part One

By Tracey Wilson Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. Excitement can quickly turn into stress, as the tally rapidly rises. Curve your stressors, have fun and make your day extra special by adding your own personal touch. This article will show you invaluable ways to decorate your wedding, on any kind of budget! There's many decorations to be made; everything from handmade invitations, to decorating the wedding arch. Your face will glow with pride, to see so much of yourself in your wedding setting. An already very special day, will be made even more special because your personality will be shining throughout. One more thing, there's no rule that says the groom can't help. If he enjoys making things with his hands, let him get involved also! Make sure you read both parts of this addition. Part Two goes into decorating with flowers. We'll start with the invitations. Use your imagination and creativity in all of the decorations you are making. Don't limit yourself to just the regular, common materials. When making your invitations, don't just think it has to be all paper! You can use virtually anything that strikes your fancy: wood, wallpaper, gems, pictures, material, scrapbook or other craft items, etc . . . If you imagine it, chances are you can make it! There are loads of information out there to help you: the internet, library, relatives, and friends, to just name a few. One of the most unique invitations I've ever seen, was on plywood. You'll need: Plywood pieces for each guest cut into the sizes you want to work with.
Material
Pictures
Decoupage Mix
Stain
Sander
Script Paper (or other paper for the background on back of invitation)
Printed Invitations
Painting Spatula/Spade
Scissors
Gold Craft Pen (or color to match your theme)
Any other craft supplies you want to add
Glue or Doublesided Tape The first thing you need to do, is decide what style you want your wedding theme in. Find material, pictures and all other craft materials, which fit your decorating theme. Cut material into strips, cut the pictures out, and lay all your materials you'll need in front of you. Center your picture in the middle of the plywood. Glue or doubleside tape it on. (Doublesided tape is tape that is sticky on both sides). Take the spatula and add a good mix of decoupage all around the edges of the picture, covering the whole front of your plywood. Let dry until tacky, (follow the instructions on the decoupage mix). Then add any other materials, craft supplies you want on the front with your picture reapply decoupage to cover generously. Let completely dry. After it's dried, cut off any excess materials. Sand all four edges of the wood. Now, turn over it's time to do the back. You want the paper you chose for your background, to cover the whole piece of wood, on the back side. Glue, or doubleside tape it on. Then take your printed invitation, which you have printed on the computer, and center it in the middle. (You want your invitation to leave at least an 1 inches on all sides, or more). Adhere it to the center. Now, take your craft pen and highlight some of the background paper, to give it a three dimensional look. Congratulations, your beautiful invitations are complete. Now, get some friends to help you hand deliver them. For any that must be mailed, make sure you wrap them securely. In keeping with the style you just made your invitations, you can now make place-setting name plates to go with them. A good trick is to use small, plate stands for these. You can also make placemats, in the same theme as the invitations. Just make the wood a little bigger, and decorate the same. It will add a wonderful touch to your wedding, and give your guests extra special mementos to take home. Download Free Ringtones

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Seth_Miller]Seth Miller Nowadays, there are a number of ways that people can personalize their cellular phones, including unique phone casings, putting wallpapers on the screens of their phones, and using certain cellular phone accessories. By far, using a unique ringtone is the most popular way to personalize a phone. One major reason for its popularity is because it allows people to use their favorite songs or sound clips as their ringtone. People can get ringtones from the Internet, from some quality websites. One of these websites is BestTones.com, which offers a wide selection of free monotone and polyphonic ringtones. In addition, the website also offers information on how people can compose their own ringtone depending on the brand of their phone. Another website is Ringophone.com, which apart from offering ringtones, also offers graphic files. What is good about this website is that it sends people the ring tone in seconds, no matter where a person is located. Another good source of free ringtones is Ringotonesgalore.co.uk, which offers a wide selection of ringtones that include TV themes, sound clips, and movie bytes. This website also offers instructions on how people can compose their own ringtone. Tonez2Fonez.net is also a good source of free ringtone, as it also offers a wide selection of monotone and polyphonic ringtones. One of the best ways that people can personalize their cellular phones is for them to use distinct ringtones, which could also help them avoid missing important calls. With so many sources of ringtones on the Internet, its rare for any two cellular phones to sound alike. Teaching Moments - Positive Self -Talk

By John Bishop Everyone has an inner voice and hears positive or negative self-talk. Your self-talk might remind you to watch out for cars when crossing the street, or it might remind you to be careful when doing something new. Or your inner voice could be saying that you are a winner and that you will have a good day. There is one important thing to remember about your inner voice: You control the on/off switch. Nobody else can control it. Now here is where it gets interesting. If you are at the controls of your self-talk, will you let in positive thoughts or negative thoughts? Has your inner voice ever said to you: I cant do that, or Ill never be able to get good at? These are negative messages your inner voice is giving you. Since you are in control of your self-talk, why not create positive messages? Positive self-talk is an important key to your success. Replace the negative messages with I will learn to and I can do this. Or, Im getting better and better at this. Remember, everyone talks to themselves. You can let in either negative or positive self-talk. Choose positive self-talk for a more successful life. You are a winner! Tell yourself that every day with your positive inner voice messages. Suggestions for implementation: 1. Count the number of positive and negative self-talk messages you give yourself for the next two days. Is your self-talk more positive or negative? 2. Determine if there is a recurring theme in your messages. What lessons can you learn from this exercise? Questions for discussion: 1. Do you know someone who is always beating themselves up? 2. What inner voice messages do you think successful people use? 3. How do you think they deal with negative inner voice messages? Please visit www.TeachingMoments.com for more life skills ideas. How to Spot Mental Abuse in Relationships and What to Do About It

By Barbara Rose, Ph.D. Mental abuse is a bit trickier than verbal abuse. Mental abuse is a pattern of behavior or speech that makes you feel you are being played with, controlled, and intimidated. When you are the victim of mental abuse, you find yourself feeling more and more insecure, less and less vibrant, and more confused; you feel as if you need to ask your partner for permission to do things, buy things, go places. You may even feel that you need to ask permission in regard to your spiritual preferences. Mental abuse occurs when you are told what to do and when to do it, when you are ordered around as if you were in a prison camp. Mental abuse often comes disguised. For example, the abuser may conveniently have amnesia and twist facts to suit his preferences. Even though you know what you are talking about, the abuser tells you that you are wrong. Or the abuser may say he will do such-and-such, never do it, and then say he doesnt remember telling you he would do the thing to begin with. To put it in a nutshell, mental abuse has you scratching your head and wondering if you are losing your mind. You wonder if its you, if maybe youre making a lot of mistakes and hearing things incorrectly. The truth is that when you feel this way, when you find that you consistently question your sanity, you are being mentally abused. Control, manipulation, intimidation, convenient amnesia, harassment, threats, all of these are mental abuse. They threaten your peace of mind, your sanity. And one day you look at yourself and think you need psychotherapy. This is the effect of mental abuse. It causes insanity. I was giving a tele-seminar one evening based on my book Stop Being the String Along: A Relationship Guide to Being THE ONE. One participant asked, "Isnt it okay to take just a little abuse? I mean, no one is perfect." To which I replied, "I am going to answer your question with a question. If you put your hand in a pot of boiling water, take your hand out so that it can heal, and then put just one finger back into the boiling water, is that okay? I mean, its just one fingernot the whole hand." No! It is not okay to tolerate abuse at all, any more than it is okay to put one finger into a pot of boiling water. Abuse hurts! Abuse cannot be tolerated at all. You cannot make or accept excuses because with excuses, you allow the abuse to continue. You must leave the situation entirely. There is no other way. Heres the second real-life situation. I had a client who felt there was a wall between her husband and her. There was no passion in bed; it was like living with a roommate. He would say unkind (read abusive) comments to her, but she felt this was not all that bad. They did not have open, honest, and genuine communication. They were just going through the motions in their marriage, which was only a shell of what they had had years earlier. Through our private sessions, my client came into her truth. She began to honor her needs and acknowledge how she felt when her husband spoke to her in a demeaning manner. After a number of weeks had passed, she began to feel her genuine worth, dignity, and self-love rise to the surface. As a result, she was ready to leave the marriage. Then her husband did a complete about-face. They shared their feelings from their hearts, they consciously re-created their relationship, the abusive comments ceased permanently, and their marriage was re-ignited into a conscious union of two people who dearly loved each other and were equally committed to making their love flourish. Here is the catch. For an abusive pattern to change, you have to change. You have to take personal responsibility to never allow yourself to be spoken down to. It is you who has to create healthy boundaries to protect your self-esteem, and at the first sign of abuse you must make it clear that you will not tolerate it. If the relationship is new, the first sign of abuse needs to be the last sign; you should make skid marks as you take off in the opposite direction. If the abuse is a pattern in a long-term relationship, you must disengage yourself from having contact with the abusive person. Guess what will happen? Once your self-esteem has increased and you create your new boundaries, you will naturally attract people into your life who would never dream of degrading you in any way. Now, I created this book to help you go through your own personal transformation. Will it be easy? No. It will not be easy. Personal transformation is one of the most difficult, scariest experiences a person can face. It is an experience that will cause you to feel shaken up until the inner transformation is made. What is required? Being completely honest with yourself. This is the vital key to personal transformation. Remember: if I could do it, so can you. Experiencing a Bar Vitzvah

By Irene Watson Bar Mitzvah! What an experience! It is one thing that will always be remembered as a unique experience for me. My first exposure to Jewish life was after moving to Austin and attaining many clients and friends of Jewish faith. My next exposure was the opportunity to study Judaism in History of World Religions class. Furthermore, two of my spiritual partners, Stan and Mel, are Jewish. For a gentile, I was catapulted very quickly into something I didnt know about. The first Bar Mitzvah I went to was at Congregation Agudas Archim with one of my spiritual partners. Mel invited me to go with him and I was thrilled. Mel was also the sponsor of the young man. I was informed by Mel that the service started at ten in the morning, however, that time was only for the religious people, and I could be there about fifteen to twenty minutes past ten. Being late is unusual for me, but I complied. On my arrival, I was greeted by young ushers. I walked in and spotted Mel. He motioned me over and I stood beside him. Mel gave me a book and indicated the page number. Well, that is when the "difference" began! To my embarrassment I could not figure out the book. It was always upside down! I kept flipping it over, turning it around, and I still wasnt getting it. Mel explained that in Hebrew, the writing is from left to right as are the page numbers. We had a good laugh about my embarrassment and proceeded to listen to the service. I listened and immediately realized that it was in Hebrew, with very little English. I could read along in English which I did and found the Torah lesson of great interest as it portrayed the dietary laws of Jewish life. Finding my reading was much faster than the lesson being read, I had an opportunity to observe the surroundings! As I looked around, I noted that most of the congregation was male and had similar characteristics! Immediately the stereotype of a Jewish male was made known to me, and I looked at Mel, and sure enough he looked like all the rest of them! The few women that were there had same features and characteristics. The atmosphere was solemn and somewhat dark in nature. The congregation was there for one purpose and that was to receive the lesson of the day. After the ceremony Mel took me to the Ark and showed me the Torah, explained symbols in the synagogue, and answered many questions. This whole experience was new to me and one to remember. One month later I had an opportunity again to participate in another Bar Mitzvah, this time at Congregation Beth Israel. This time the son of my other spiritual partner, Stan, became a Bar Mitzvah and I was invited to the complete weekend celebration which started with the Shabbat Service Friday. Upon entering the temple I immediately noted the difference between the synagogue and temple. The sanctuary was different, the atmosphere was different, the energy was different. Many women were in attendance, bright colors were worn, and there was happy chatter and hugging going on. A few men wore the Yarmulke and I noted only one man wearing the Tallit. (At the synagogue only a few men did not wear either.) Saturday morning, during the Sabbath Service, was the actual ceremony where Zach became Bar Mitzvah. Again, walking into the temple I noted the same atmosphere as the night before. Bright, happy, and noisy! The ceremony was similar to the synagogue in some sense, with the immediate and extended family participating in the service by reading of the Torah, the procession through the congregation with the Torah, the Bar Mitzvah speaking to the congregation and the parents speaking to him. The difference was that most of the service was in English, with the exception of the reading of the Torah and some of the singing by the Cantor in the most angelic voice I have ever heard. There was no Cantor at the synagogue. After the completion of the service, (in both cases) blessings were made over wine and bread before the Kiddush luncheon. The luncheon at the temple was wonderful with traditional Jewish foods (bagels and lox, kugel and latke). They were all foods that I was familiar with, make, and did not realize that they were Jewish! After picking up our food in buffet style my husband and I decided to sit at an empty table with the idea of seeing who will show up at our table. Soon three elderly couples sat with us. After introductions they realized that we were not Jewish. The welcome from them was nothing I had experienced before. It was very warm, loving, and spiritual. They made sure that we were honored guests in their temple. Dinner and dancing in the evening are "something to remember"! What a party! The reception at the Four Seasons Hotel started with cocktails and appetizers, followed by a wonderful three course meal. Seating arrangements were prearranged by the family so we could sit with people we knew or have a common bond. The decorations were fabulous, and a live band played throughout the night. There were approximately two
hundred and seventy five people there, which one hundred of those being school mates (Jewish and Gentile) of Zach. The atmosphere was "high," with much laughing and dancing. Zach and the immediate family were of great attention throughout the dance
with many traditions performed. One was the Hora where the Bar Mitzvah and each member of the immediate family are raised up on a chair and the guests dance around them. Another tradition was that the father whirled around each of the immediate family member, holding either end of a handkerchief while the guests danced around them. It is not known when these traditions originated or the meaning, but it certainly created a lot of hype and fun. It is difficult to put into words the feeling I get from this experience. Fortunately, I discussed the rituals that were performed over the weekend with my Jewish friends as well as read about the traditions, customs and values so I would be prepared for the experience. Even so, it was overwhelming for me but in an exciting way. Many aspects of the Jewish way of life portray diversity, joy, and personal fulfillment fitting into a whole life. This experience gives me a better understanding of my two spiritual partners, their way of life, and how they fit into my life. This experience also gave me a confirmation that although my spiritual partners are of a different faith and walk of life from me, there are many parallels, and we are connected by one Higher Power, Source, Spirit, God. In Defense Of Jesus? "The Secret" And The True Followers Of Jesus

By Charles Neshah You may not know it, but the The Secret DVD, the on going buzz online is generating lots of controversy between those who cannot see the rational behind the principles espoused by The Secret" and those who see it. Wow, folks, the truth has never been told, it is with the Master-mind. But some of our assumptions may be truths, and even outright lies become truths without evidence. This is why it is quite difficult to accept a proven principle that can be used to turn a life around for the best. Therefore "truths" flourish. The Christian truths, which are averse to the "The Secrets" truth, can be likened to the "truth" told by the three friends of Job while the truth in the "The Secret" is akin to the truth of Job himself in challenging God to prove him (Job) unworthy. Only those who claim their inheritance shall have it. The biggest problem of mankind is self condemnation, self deceit and outright falsification of facts. If you condemn yourself, who can salvage you. Jesus? Give me a break! The Secret teaches you to be positive, and you cannot condemn yourself while being positive; rather you can turn your life around with positive thinking and affirmative actions. What I do not understand is why such a simple principle is being tied to age old lies and ambiguous claims about a beginning and end we will never know about. What can be more fabulous than the religious beliefs of Christians, especially in one who does not know Christianity? He was born a Jew, lived and worshiped as a Jew, and died a Jew. True Jesus followers should practice Judaism, period. Daniel and Rich (some antagonist at my blog on The Secret) speak in defense of Jesus, especially Daniel, who talks about Jesus' Godness, as if Jesus himself ever claimed to be God anywhere in the Bible. What he called himself all the time was the Son of Man. Of course, followers meekly and dubiously foist their leaders with larger than life attributes and images. As for whether Jesus, according to Rich, ever used the little phrase "within you" in Mathew:6, "The Kingdom of God is Within you" is a popular answer Jesus gave to a popular question. That being said, note that the same principles the antagonists are criticizing in the "The Secret" are what Jesus used to get things done as he desired within the time and scope allotted him by the Source of life. I am amused to read some statements credited to Jesus about the serpent as follows: Ever since the serpent has been the serpent, he's been whispering that in our ears. Jesus, in His Wisdom, confronted that convincingly:
"If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me and for the gospel will save it. What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?" Mark 8:34-37. Oh Rich, Serpent or Lucifer is just the personification of the negative thoughts of man, for Sunday school children. You should have shaded that by now. It is the same principles "The Secret" espouses that the Church perverted and used to rule the world and still uses with ulterior motives; for why do you think that adults continue to think like children when it comes to religious myths? Listen, if you think positively about a lie and dwell on it continuously it becomes your truth. The most absurd of all is for anyone to think that "The Secret" is meant to prevent their death; God or the Source of life graces and withdraws grace... as a rule to ensure the continuity of creation. Life and Death are divine purposes, The Secret is just a way to live life more abundantly, it does not prevent death. It is true that man has arrogated to himself too much importance than he deserves in the scheme of things. Yet, like I said in an earlier article, man is a co-creator with God or the Source of life. That being so, man is empowered to create good or evil according to the choices he makes, and those choices he can only make from the jumble of thoughts that show up in his mind. No one creates his own thoughts, but everyone decides which thought or group of thoughts to action. If what Daniel says is true that what happened to Jesus was what he wanted, then why was he apparently afraid and made every effort to have his tribulation averted? And why when his time came as he had said, did he lament having been forsaken by his father? Everyone of us will behave just as Jesus did, no one wants to die. All said, I will always cancel my negative thoughts with positive ones and hope for the best - The Secret. I will never give up till my time is up. Death is a necessary end, not the wages of sin. The Nazarenes believed what their minds bid them believe, so will anyone even today. That is The Secret. 10 Tips for a Successful Yard Sale

By Ferrel Kenda There are typically two reasons for thoughts of hosting a yard sale. You might need the space, or you might need the money. Do you have a garage, attic, or basement full of unused or unwanted items that you "might need" someday but that day never arrives? Are you in need of extra cash to finance an unexpected expense or make a special purchase? A yard sale might just be the answer that will solve both problems at one time. Yard sales have certain requirements in order to be successful. Many yard sales do not realize their full potential because the host has neglected to follow a few simple rules that will ensure success. Here are 10 tips that will boost your sales and draw more people to view your wares. Before the day of the Sale: 1. Decide why you are hosting this sale. If you are attempting to get rid of items you no longer want or need, set your prices low so the merchandise moves quickly. If you need the money, set prices a bit higher to meet your objectives. In any case, try to give your customers a good deal so they don' think you are overpricing your wares. 2. Start early. Begin to set aside unwanted items so you have an idea of how much merchandise you will have, how many tables you might need, and will you have it inside the garage or in the yard. If you don't have as much merchandise as you expected, invite a neighbor to co-host the sale, or you can organize a "block" sale where several sales can happen on the same day. 3. Advertise. Place an ad in your local paper. Be sure to give the address and any other pertinent information. If you do not want "early birds", say so. List your phone number if there might be any confusion to finding your sale. Don't forget to place large colorful signs around the neighborhood and at major intersections. Make sure the sign placement does not violate any municipal codes. 4. Make sure you have plenty of change on hand. Be prepared to make change for a $20 bill on small sales. Sales may be lost if you cannot make change. Day of the Sale: 5. Price everything. Some people will not ask the price of an item. If it is not marked, the sale may be lost. If you use stickers, be sure to place them where they won't damage the item and can be easily removed. Be prepared to "haggle" on some items, but don't be afraid to stand firm if the price is what you want. 6. With the exception of oversized items, place everything on tables. Customers may not be willing or able to bend down to see an item. Make sure all items are reasonably clean. Dust and dirt devaluate the item. 7. Have a "freebie box". Fill the box with small items or things you feel you cannot sell. 8. Have an extension cord available so customers can test electrical equipment, if the item is battery operated, have batteries on hand. 9. Offer discounts on the last half day of the sale. You will make more sales and get rid of more of your merchandise if you are flexible. 10. Donate what you don't sell. There are many less fortunate people in this world who might just need what you don't. Your favorite charity organization will appreciate your tax deductible donations and in turn help those in need. Bonus Tip: Have Fun! People are more inclined to buy from pleasant hosts. Start up conversations, joke around with customers, and offer them and enjoyable shopping experience. As you can see, a yard sale can be made more successful by planning ahead and following a few simple common sense rules. Your customers and your bank account will appreciate it! If you need to replace all of that camping equipment your wife "accidentally" sold at the yard sale...
